Beautiful Beach and great water, but make sure you don't get caught out during high tide. Getting back was difficult not an issue just challenging

Very nice since finally being rebuilt from storm damage ( 7 years a go ). Nice nature center very interesting especially for kids. Loved it

Yes it reopened last September. You do not need a license to fish from the pier as long as you are camping or have paid daily admission to the park.

I spoke with a park ranger and she said they were going to start repairs this season.
Are you referring to the "Hunting Island State Park Pier"? It's open from 09:00- 17:00.

I was there a week ago. Pier is only partially open for walking but no fishing is allowed. The end of the pier is still damaged.
