Not as close as before Hurricane Matthew, but some sites are still within 150 feet.
Always book in advance since this place is very popular with locals and tourists that they book really fast. They have camp sites and nice places to explore or go for a walk.
Yes! Must be on a leash though, might want to double check about the actual crowded beach areas
I don't belive there is. I think it is a "day park" only.
Teachable moments.
They r open as fare as I know. Google it.
There is a decrepit cottage on the south end of the island. Rumor has it, if you can defeat the raccoon king and his minions the place is yours for the night.
Yes closes at 7.

Yes and no and preferably not. Generally, you can shells that are not inhabited. Do not take a turtle shell if there is a turtle in it. Do not take shell if a crab has taken up residence. Do not chase live sand dollars. But, understand the other shells that may be able to take contribute the the ecosystem. They may be legal, but taking them effects the ecosystem.
20 minutes to publix. Wal-Mart is 15 minutes
The island and paths are very long and large. Me and my wife road bikes for hours. No major heels pretty level . With you having a dog you can do a mix of both. About a month ago , they were doing a lot of Beach reconstruction. They are putting a lot of new sand out
Daniel is camping available?
Yes. But if it is turtle season you can't take any flashlight with you
Yes
Are RV campsites shaded and full hook up and how many sites are close to the beach, can you see the beach from the Rv campsites
They have tents and RV campsites. Very very nice site's. Restrooms are close and clean. Some sites are private which has trees and banks. The beach is 100 yards away or closer in most cases.
Just a few miles down the road in Port Royal, right of Ribault there's a hide beach area called Sands Beach where you can drive your vehicles on the beach. It's a small area of beach access but it's great
It is not open. Public area and campground are closed until at least January 2018 while they continue to assess damage. Check out the island packet website for pictures of recent damage.
Yes..the beaches and campground are both open. The fishing pier is not open but the nature center is.
