I would like to take this opportunity to thank Logan for his help in unclogging my main line. This restored flushing to both of our toilets. He was very professional and explained to me everything that he was going to do. He was a pleasure to work with. I hope all Budget Sewer Service technicians are like him

I received a follow-up call to my weekend inquiry regarding scheduling service for my sewer drain. The person I spoke to was very helpful with providing a price quote and assisting with extending the service window to fit my availability for later today. I received a phone call at around 1:45pm indicating that my service would not be performed during the quoted service window due to a medical emergency; I appreciated the call and informed the person that it was fine. As I was finishing up a work meeting at around 3:45pm, someone rang my doorbell several times in a row, banged on my door, and few seconds later, I received a phone call. I knew that it was likely the service ‘professional’ that was scheduled to complete the work, but I didn’t understand the rationale for the lack of professionalism. When I answered the door the man clearly looked agitated as he informed me that he was there to complete the storm drain issue. I addressed the issue of the nature of his ringing the doorbell and banging on the door like he did, as whatever was bothering him was none of my concern and I’m not responsible for it. He indicated that he didn’t know why he had been called to complete the job at my house, and clearly didn’t seem happy about it. I informed him of where the issue was and led him to the back of my home. He answered my questions about the price and did not appear personable at all. I closed the door and went back to my tasks for the day. After about 30 minutes, I opened the curtain to see what was going on, and the service worker was gone; when I went to the front of my home, I saw that his van was gone as well. Also, there was small pile of dirt near the drain where he must have started working, and he didn’t put the drain cover back on properly – it’s currently only half on. I went to my phone to call the worker and saw that I’d missed a call from him about 20 minutes prior; I attempted to call back twice, and it appeared that I was sent to voicemail. I then sent a text to determine whether the worker went to obtain materials, and did not receive a response. When I called the office, the woman who answered indicated that she was told by the worker that I only cracked the door when he was there and that he knocked on the door in order to request power but I didn’t respond. If no response was received when at the back door, it's likely that I didn't hear him (which I didn't), and it would’ve made sense (to me) for him to go to the front door and ring the doorbell. Furthermore, I asked questions and he answered them while he was at my home; I don’t appreciate that insinuation that I just ‘cracked’ my door like I didn’t interact with him. His lack of professionalism and agitated demeanor was unwarranted, undeserved and unappreciated. At that point, I had waited for the service to be completed and shifted my afternoon schedule in order to be at home. It was already 4:30pm and the service would have needed to be scheduled for another day, either with Budget Sewer or another company. Also, other companies may be ready to close at around that time. I informed the woman that I was speaking with that I didn’t appreciate the worker lying on me, and that I'd reached out to him with no response. She didn’t apologize on behalf of the company, and stated that if I wanted to reschedule that it would need to be the next day. At that point, I was frustrated at the loss of time and the fact that I could have scheduled for the service with another company and gotten the issue resolved. So I decided to reschedule for the next day, and I had to be the one to ask to a discount for the issue that occurred. She agreed to give me a small discount if the repair was performed, and I was fine with that. However, her tone towards the end of the call made me think that there was an issue, so I inquired. She stated that there wasn’t, but given all the things that occurred with Budget Sewer Service since the worker came to my home, I deemed it best to find another company to complete the repair.
