I am planned to move out in 6 weeks. I received a call from management demanding I allow them to come in so they can do a walk through to order new cabinets and bathtubs (I am sure to allow for a fast turn around for the next renters). I currently have family visiting me and they requested this walk through be completed in 2 days from the initial request. I told her in my experience these things are typically done (i.e. repairs or replacements of tubs/carpets/cabinets) after the tenant has moved out. I asked her if they could do this after my scheduled move out or if not for them to reproduce on my lease where I agreed to allow for this to occur as I did not find this to be reasonable (I have 6 weeks remaining on my lease). She then went on to say she could enter when I was not present which I did not give permission for and that I could call corporate office if I did not agree with this. She said that they had the right to enter my apartment to perform normal business operations. She then proceeded to hang up on me while I was in the middle of a sentence. I am fairly certain they are violating rental laws and will look into this with an attorney. Normal business operations doesn't include preparing for renovations/demanding to do a walk through when there is no necessity prior to my move out simply to get the next renter in asap - that is really no concern to me and not my problem. I have never been late to pay my rent or violated any of the terms of my lease. No where during this conversation did she agree to provide written proof where I had to allow them in (so that they could get the apartment ready for the next tenant) because of course that does not exist. If she was able to come up with this information as I had requested, of course I would have obliged per written and signed contract. I think they need to understand the rights of tenants and should probably get counseled regarding this.

I lived there 10 months in B2 type floor. Cons are more then Pros. It does look Luxury from outside :) Just outside :) Pros: - People living there, nice and respectful. - The outside of the buildings, looks nice and management is very careful about the outside view ( I wish they do for indoors too ) - Big garage Cons: - Mold: if you go for an in person tour, check inside the vents. We didn't notice for a few months. It causes mild sore throat and it is annoying. You couldn't figure out why you have this annoying mild sore throat. They should have clean the mold before leasing. If we didn't say that we found mold inside the vents, they were ok with that. They have an argument that " we are a 20+ years old complex". They try to normalize that it is ok to have a mold issue. This is nothing to do with the reality. Just check and clean it regularly. Do not lease with mold. You advertise this place as "Luxury" You care outside, do same thing for inside too. -Noise of garage doors: Huge problem. Part of neighbor's garage is downstairs and every time garage door opens or closes, the whole building vibrates. If you want to tour the units, ask them to open and close garage door while you are inside the building, feel the nasty vibration. They should change the door motors. -Noise of GB highway: You may not feel in daytime but night time, if specially if window faces to GB, the morning traffic can even wake you up ( which it did ) - Management & Maintenance: They are good for simple and easy stuff, but for something needs effort, they just want to cover the problem, they ignore it. They try to convince you that it doesn't exist :) We had a stinky AC, maintenance guy came and suggested us to use scents :). I don't think they do it intentionally. Just they don't know what to do. And too much workload for a maintenance guy. That I think he is exhausted and do not want to spend much time on a single stuff. They need to hire more people.

I stayed with a friend at Preston Heights for 2 weeks while waiting on my new apartment in Uptown to be ready. WOW - I wish I hadn't already signed a new lease. I would love to have a town home at Preston Heights. The property is very nice. The pool is always spotless & a lot fun. The grounds and landscaping are impeccable. My favorite part - it is so quiet! I am jealous that my new place in Uptown doesn't have this two car garage. Sigh. I am moving into my new place this week - but I WILL be back as soon as my lease is up!

I have lived in the complex for a little over five years and find it meet my needs perfectly. I especially enjoy the size of the double car garage which rare in apartment complex and even larger then some homes I have looked at. Despite a fairly frequent turn over in management there is little impact on service. The apartment’s exteriors are going through some repairs but seem to be on track. The grounds and pool are well maintained. The office staff is friendly and helpful. Maintenance repairs or usually done the day they are submitted. The area is quite and convenient to shopping and bike trails. I personally have enjoyed living here and have had no issues.
