First they tell you they can’t help you when you do have a stray cat come up to your house. Then they say if you trap it and bring it to the shelter then they’ll try to adopt it and or release it. Then when you do their work for them, they tell you they have no room and to take it back home with you. Then when you tell them you can’t do that, they say they’ll just put the cat down and insinuate it’s your fault even though you did exactly what the told you to do. Horrible customer service horrible people.

They do so much with so little. They try to get fosters Instead of keeping the animals in the shelter.

I call those people about the neighbors dog running everywhere they act like they didn't care this was August 9 2022 so I won't ever call those people again.

$55 for males, $65 females under 25 lbs, $85 females over 25 lbs. There is a special right now, $10 adoption fees with donation of 5 school items. You can check out their Facebook for details
Yes. They scan every animal that comes in.
Don't know that is a good question though
Um just call before To ask staff ... Im not sure
Yes
They have an area where stuff has been donated (leashes, collars, toys, beds, food, etc) that they allow you to look through and get for your newly adopted pet! 😊
You can do either or. Just make sure you ask for a rehomeing fee. Just so it can help prevent harmful homes.
If the cats come on your property, you can trap them and bring them into the shelter. Due to the way ordinances are, they won't come out to catch cats. You can get a cat trap for around $20 at tractor supply.
You will have to pay a surrender fee and its really to capacity. Try to see if u can find a home for him, anything is better than sitting in kennals for months.
Thanx Jessica its josh heating air guy how are the kids and Naymon? Thanx again email me sometime like see how things going Any help be awesome his name is Buddy he is a miniature lab mix
If you or animal in no danger wait until morning. They open at 8 except Wednesday. If the aninal is in danger or a danger to you call 911. They will contact the officer on call.
Gwinnett animal shelter does a vaccination clinic every Saturday all you have to do is call and ask when the next one is.😊 ( yes I realized this is a year ago post ♡)
You need to go there in person and look. Sometimes times people put live traps out to catch ferial cats. They then bring them there.
Try contacting them
Call them and ask! I believe they are!
Call them to setup an appointment. Owner surrender fee is $50 for a dog, and you need to be able to prove that you are a current Barrow county resident.
They do a volunteer orientation every 1st Saturday of the month, at 10am, and 3rd Tuesday, at 1:30pm. You would fill out the application then.
If animal control picked him up you will have to go Monday and look and see if they have him they open at 10:00 a.m
Yes you can but you may call ahead to see if you have to make an appointment because of covid-19 restrictions
I know they allow volunteers, but not sure if it counts as community service. Best to call and ask. Also, they may not be allowing volunteers at this time due to covid.
Yes. They do low cost rabies shots every once in a while. You just have to check their Facebook page and they post the dates every so often
Call the shelter and schedule an appointment during operating hours. As long as you are a Barrow County resident, you can surrender the dog. There will be an owner surrender fee of $50.
Yes. Only by appointment. Must call a head of time and set one up.
I don't know if they do.
The shelter itself does not have a web site. But you can go to Facebook and find saving Barrow county animal control pets and see pictures. But that page is run by volunteers so it may not be as accurate as coming into the shelter and looking.
I think they do gave them
$35 for spay/neuter, fvrcp, deworming, and microchip.
You can call the shelter and ask if someone is looking for the specific cat. If not, then you can keep it.
I'm really not sure.
I would call them asap
They do shot clinics check out their web sites
There is a vet next door to Animal Control
It depends on the area of the neighborhood and such. There is a bylaws website you can look up to see BUT the CITY bylaws are NOT the same as the COUNTY bylaws.
I just talked to animal control and cats are under same law as dogs until July 1
Yes
