PROUD OF MY DAUGHTER'S GRADUATION THIS WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 28. ECHO CO. THANK YOU FOR SO HARD WORK IN TRAINING OUR MARINES.
Mauricio A.
I arrived here on February 17, 2004 and left on May 14, 2004. I was part of 2nd Battalion, Echo Co, Platoon 2042. The last time I visited was in 2007 a few months before I EAS’d. I have a lot of memorable moments. The most special moment was at the end of the crucible when we all stood at parade rest and our DI’s handed us our EGAs. Everyone in the formation cried.

Oorah!
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
Yes, you may, although there may be no room for your recruit to house such an item. Also, there are Bibles on base.
Yes you can their are picnic tables and grills also but since liberty is only a few hours and most likely your MARINE is dying for your food,,I prepared all of our food the nite be for. After moto run be for the assembly I decorated our picnic spot w all t hngs patriotic and had all of our food ready and waiting. After they eat most the new Marines run to MCX to shop and buy new phones. Congratulations and enjoy your time on the island
It's been a long time since I was there, but back then, after boot camp a recruit went to Camp Lejune, NC for their advanced training, then they would get 10 days leave before reporting to their first duty assignment
Seventeen, with your parent or guardian endorsement, unless you will be an emancipated minor at that time. You may do it on your own if so. You may also enlist on your own at age 18. My strong advice to you is to register for the draft at age 17 also.
I know there are people who join who aren't citizens yet. As for how try calling any recruiting station number you can find or looking online
Are there any surplus stores that sell MARINE DRESS BLUES UNIFORMS near PARRIS ISLAND Do u have to be active duty to buy DRESS BLUES on base or how does that work
Your recruiter will take you to MEPS, then MEPS will send you to the airport then Will be greeted by some gentleman and that will direct you at the bus that's waiting outside.
The family day ceremony starts at 9 am and takes place at the All Weather Training Facility.
About 2 weeks by time arrives. but you can still write you just can't send them, sure right anyways he will enjoy it. Just don't say how much you missing but tell him how proud you are. And tell him about all the boring stuff to do at home.
Inn of the Corps Beaufort. Hundred bucks a night, clean, free breakfast. 15 minutes drive to Parris island.
How do I find out way day my son will be graduating
How can I get my pictures and papers from the time I was there?
Honestly just depends on when they let him go.
Try young Marines as stated already, if not available try JROTC. Both will help with a promotion when you do 2 years. You can join raiders in JROTC, they train and do obstacle courses, it's fun and will give you a bit of a workout
You just have to wait and have faith on your son. Crucible is a pain but as long he follows what he learned he'll be alright.
Will a passport work as proper documentation?
Yes it should not be a problem. ooh rah
It depends on the training Battalion, Company and Platoon of the recruit to whom you are writing. When addressing a letter to a recruit, please--FOR THE LOVE OF GOD(!!!!!!!!!)--format it this way: RECRUIT, Last Name, First Name and then the specific information of the Battalion, Co & Platoon. Send ONLY LETTERS and NOTING ELSE!!! And don't put anything CRAZY in the envelope. Don't get "creative". I hope this helps.
Please contact your local Marine Corps Recruiter for that information, as it situationally adapts. He or she will be the best resource.
A letter, a card, anything will do.
Look at the Parris Island website for graduation information.
The type of JROTC you take does not restrict you from joining the branch of your choice. A recruiter is the best source of information for questions concerning joining the Marines.
I haven't been there sense 1981 wish i could help u could Call platoon 1048 what a time
There is a moto run at 7 if you want a good parking spot get there early then go to the family life center (you'll see it) after the run then youre new Marine will tell you the rest once you see him/her. Congratulations!
Tents? So we can come on base? We are trying to figure things out since we will have a graduate from the Oscar Co. but we are from Los,Angeles CA.
Right now it’s back to normal, no restrictions.
You’ll receive a book with most of the information of the family day and graduation . Your son also might call you to give you some brief information. The rest of the things you’ll have to figure it out.
Try together we served. Google it and then do a search for his name.
No they aren't allowed to read them or have the person who received it read it out loud.
Yes the base is currently open to the public.
Recruit Photo has digital copies. You'll have to call them. I don't know if They'll send them out but you can always ask them.
Navy Federal
Find out who is platoon leaders and let him know what's going on
Not open to the public right now
Yes, Monday through Thursday. They have restricted veterans and retire personal to those days. I went there for the 4th of July weekend and that is what I was told by a gate gard.
I believe only on certain days though.
Call 1-843-288-2111. They might be able to help
You can write him a letter now as long as you have his mailing address (battalion number, company name, etc).
You might want to ask the Seargent that enrolled you in boot camp.
I don't have it. But I believe you can contact them. I'm sure the staff can give you the right address.
Recruits can receive letters the traditional way or through an application known as "Sandbox" so long as you have the recruiter's information. Sandbox is of course a much faster way. Although I would caution against sending money to recruits while still in training. They will not have any opportunity to use it, nor do the need it. Not only are all of their physical needs taken care of while on the island but they are payed while in training aswell. I would save the money until after they graduate.
You can either download the Sandboxx App on your phone and when you type your letter to your recruit it gives you the option to attach one picture with your letter. It is a little expensive to send the letters but they get them much, much faster by typing one and sending it on the app verses you having to send it in the mail the old fashioned way. It costs $4 to send one letter or they have decent priced packages where you get so many tokens and it costs 1 token each time you send them a letter. Like say I bought the $20 option and it gave me 6 tokens, so I am able to type and send 6 letters and pics with them if I want too. Even if you don't have a phone where you can download the app to send a letter or pic that way you can also go on a desktop or laptop computer or tablet and go to www.sandboxx.us and you can do it the same exact way as you would do it on the app on your phone, etc. This way of sending letters is just much easier to me. Hope this helps someone out.
You can write letters to him, he should send his address soon.
Your recruiter should let you know what you should and shouldn't bring.
Sometimes privileges are withdrawn for misbehaving. It could be she is so busy she forgot as well
She will send you a letter in a few days, with her mailing address a what you can and can't send.
Family day for your young Marine will be the Thursday before he graduated on Friday. For travel planning, refer to the package you received and try to arrive on Wednesday evening the week of graduation. Early morning on Thursday is fine too, but you'll feel rushed and/or may miss it if you encounter travel delays.
What's wrong with a stamp and paper?
You can go to https://thespiritofoldbeaufort.com/parris-island-tour
What do you mean
In addition to the question. What format is the address for recruits? General format please
Assuming that the person in question is a recruit, you're going to have to wait until they pick up and can write you first. Unless you know their platoon then you could possibly look up their building number on the mcrd parris island website
Your rental agreement serves as proof of insurance as all rental car agencies require insurance.
They are yellow
you can contact recruit photo on parris island and they have them archived
C
Recruits do not have computer access due boot camp.
The island does not have DD214s. You'll need to file a request for military service records with the Office of Veteran Affairs(VA). https://www.va.gov
10, 11, and 12 Jan 2019 if everything goes according to schedule. There is a boot camp schedule at recruitparents.com
Unfortunately, no.
Just need your driver's license, and prof of insurance.
Feb 8th 2019
I don't think they do a background check on visiting
Yes
His recruiter is your best source of information.
Yes the Osprey Inn
Yes. A Marine recruiter is the best source of information for questions like these.
A what time do they wake up, and what time are they checked at nights. Parris island cn
Nope, its the Corp no special treatment here.
Well, its Basic Training. Wait till graduation to contact your recruit.
I believe they have a graduation every friday. So the base is packed with people just say your there for the graduation and you can walk around the base. But if its any other day i am sure they will let you i dont see why not
Depends which region you're in.
If its to their post office, then yes they get mail sometimes.
Online
There are many hotels which are within 4 miles of Parris Island. If you visit Parris Island's website, you might be able to see some of the surrounding hotels. If you Google hotels near Parris Island, that information will come up as well.
because you are traveling from out of state, all you have to do is keep it locked in a container inside the vehicle. Declare it when you enter the base, and you will be allowed to pass. This information may be found in the frequently asked questions on the Parris Island website.
If he has some sort of government issued identification he should be fine. For example his work permit, a drivers permit, or drivers license.
Look up MCRD Parris Island Facebook. If not there, contact the Marines.
Define mistreatment. That bulldog, for all intents and purposes is a Marine that holds a rank. Seriously
A civilian Airport. Drive into Parris Island with papers. Find your son graduate.
Contact the Chaplin... they will ensure your concerns are put at ease.
Hey brother Marine, I also graduated in 1968!!!!!! ,YOU CAN GET A PLATOON PHOTO BY CONTACT ING BASE PHOTO OFFICE OF Either P.I. or San Diego. Sure hope this helps!!! Semper Fi, do or die brother.
Congratulations!!!! Fibd a good spot so you can see your son when he comes by eith his platoon during moto run..that was the 1st time i saw my son!!!! Rahhhh!!!
MAKE SURE, SURE each person to attend graduation has the PROPER identification and you can bring a truck load of people. ,Semper Fi.
The recruit will need to write to you or next of kin first.
Dental is just one of the many many medical certicates recruits go thru. With you sons wisdom teeth, the dentists evaluate each case. They not only look at relevant issues, but for potential problems down the road. I had a filling between my two front teeth, that was in 1968 and the works holds well today. Trust me pls, if some of the very best dentist in the world say his wisdom need to come out, they need to come out!!!!! The U.S. Navy provides our primary medical care, and you will never find a better medical crew in the WORLD! !!!! SEMPER FI Marcie and you son would be able to explain his circumstances. Take this issue, go to your sons graduation and become a proud member of the U. S MARINE CORPS FAMILY.
If you are 35 or younger, contact local Marine Corps recruiter.
Go to the swamp area and do it.
I I am to understand your question correctly, I think you mean to ask if recruits are paid during boot camp. The answer is yes. During this time however, a recruit will not see the physical check stub, nor a leave and earnings statement. They will receive a check from disbursing upon graduation.
As long as you are accompanied by an adult, the school ID would be fine. You are going to have to wait for a letter to see if "your man" is ok.
MCRD PARRIS ISLAND DOES IN FACT HAVE ON-BASE ACCOMMODATIONS FOR YOUR FAMILY TO ATTEND YR SONS GRADUATION. THEY EVEN HAVE PLACES TO DINE. MCRD DOES EVERYTHING TO ASSIST GRADUATION GUESTS. PLS ENJOY YR STAY AT GRADUATION TIME.
Ok...i got that quick scripted call that said he was out of that pfp and he said he would graduate january 19..but i haven't heard from him since then...i understand the last part of training is the crucible...just want to confirm that day of graduation..i can't miss it ! Try to get ahold of his recruiter ?
Contact the MCRD base photography office. They will be able to help you. SEMPER FI MY FELLOW MARINE.

You can also contact his recruiter. They are in constant contact with the Drill Instructors.
WHEN YOU FIRST, SIGN UP TO BE AN INFANTRY MAN. WHEN YOU ARE ASSIGNED TO A INFANTRY UNIT, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO REQUEST ASSIGNMENT TO SNIPER SCHOOL. IF YOU QUALIFY, REALLY GOOD HIGH EXPERT SCORE, YOU WILL HAVE A CONSIDERABLE BOOST. IT SURELY HAPPEN.
SURE HOPE THE INFO HELPS AND YOUR ARE ABLE TO GET THE PICTURES YOU WANT.
Yep... recruiter
You can also go tothe Parris Island Museum and Gift Shop (down the street from 2nd Bn) or to The Corps Store and Devildog Headquarters on Parris Island Gateway. Great stuff! I'm a Marine and I shop there.
Just be there..
On Facebook family and friends Parris Island they will direct you where to go but you have to be invited to join or you have to request to be join
I really don't know but you can find the answer online
Ask his Momma. Recruits should have called next of kin upon arrival to the MCRD and repeated a message to let them know that they had arrived safely. They will also be able to send a forwarding address at some juncture. If not, contact his recruiter.
You shouldn't have to wait, but it might be a few days before it's delivered. The first days in boot camp recruits are busy getting processed in.
YOU CAN WRITE TLL YOUR HEART IS CONTENT. THEY LOVE TO RECEIVE LETTERS AT "MAIL CALL".
Nope cant view it.. you dont want to see it anyways.. Marines are like hotdogs everyone loves them but dont want to know how they are made. The Crucible is a sacred time for these young boots
Yes. They must obey all traffic laws.
As a former marine corps at parris island, there are no rules about a felon. At graduation, you will probably visit his barracks after you attend his graduation ceremony. DON'T WORRY ABOUT YOU BEING A FELON, ALL WILL BE FINE.
Negative. Send only light snacks.
Yes
I don't remember any shuttle service dedicated to Parris Island. But you shouldn't have any trouble finding one to get you there
Yes. Dont send comic books. The Drill Instructors don't take kindly to that.
You wont be able to miss it. Welcome to the family.
You are allowed to visit the museum on base.
Once, the Thursday before graduation.
If it's to handle business and not basic training stuff, before 4:30p I would guess.
Steven Proto got it right. SATO Travel will only pay if there's a hardship.
Except for guide dogs or other handicapped assistance animals, pets are not permitted at any military ceremony, in the medical or dental clinic, barracks, BOQ, temporary lodging facility, officer’s guest house, club facilities, exchange activities, other public facilities or any place where food is sold, stored, prepared or served. No kennel. Sorry about that.
While I cannot recommend a hotel at which you should stay, my advice is to go to Google and type in hotels near Parris Island .lt will give you a list of hotels.
To be on the safe side, yes, bring your registration and proof of insurance along with your friend's registration and proof of insurance. It will be checked against your license at the front gate.
