Aunty I Don't Know
Why do they have it as a requirement that they will only help those lined up at 6 am and only the first 10 people will be assessed, are people that crazy that more money goes into security or is it spies causing trouble
Eddie Parker
I go here to get shelter and the fat security guard told me it wasn't a shelter? I asked him where can I find one. He chose not to give me info. Gateway has a lot of work to do. No compassion at all.

Worse Help Ever Experience They don't really want to help anyone they don't listen to your situation Worsened Case Scenario

Must Ministries in Cobb, since the son is in school in Austell. They can help with shelter or hotel room. Also Sweetwater mission(Austell) and catholic charities(cobb) and
Go to Gateway. They will direct you accordingly.
Why no one answered this question because I need the same
It's all a process but everything comes through gateway. If they don't do a service the can refer you to the right place and person
I wanna relocate here will they help me with shelter
Gateway Center on Pryor St. Monday thru Friday. Get there around 6. Doors open at 7. Ask to speak with the housing navigator.
Usually they have a drop off point in the back of Gateway roundabout 9 a.m.
Also you can go to salvation army for ninety days housing until you get back on your feet for free.
Yes and no... to receive most services from Gateway Center you must be homeless. Through the CARES Act due to COVID they may have some additional resources. But they are first and foremost a men's shelter. You may want to try united way 2-1-1 for resources for at-risk of homelessness
I'm sorry 2 here that. I am pretty much in the same situation but I left there feeling very hopeful. It takes time is all I can say. I will pray for you and hope that you may receive help soon. If I come across anything more helpful I will be sure to post it.
Get there around 630...first come first serve the first 15...need housing assessment first..
I am homeless also going to Asheville N.C mission.my bus want leave until 4PM tomorrow. I don't have no money to buy anything
Go to Gateway Center, on a Monday Morning around 7:00am!!!!! They will Help Her?
They starting letting people in at 7:00am?you need to be here around 6:00am?
Go to Central Presbyterian Church at 201 Washington St. before 5:00am..
Contact the Atlanta Union Mission. It is a great place with mom and kids. They will help you with Housing ,Job,all the way back on your feet. They even watch your kids when you start work. Contact them before you leave. It is called my Sisters House, part of the program
There nobody that works on the weekend. have to personal go up thier. Have to excuse people that work thier. Best to go up personal. Main people that are normal there are off on weekends. Apologize for them. Hopefully situation get better.
Other places funded by the city and United way.. one is City of Refuge... Bankhead... Go to Central Presbyterian Outreach... They can direct you better call 211.. keep asking questions.. is always a constituent Department in City Hall it will help you get out the street
Call the Atlanta Union Mission. They also have a website. They are awesome with families.
You will probably have better results going on Craigslist an finding a room for rent that wy you uave the freedom to come nd go asbyou please. All those programs and institutions jave their own rules an time frames that don't allow for you to work because they want your body in their institutions in order for them to get paid by the government. I have been in this situation. They don't want you to work. Honestly I had to find a safe bando until i got up enough money for a room. Then i went to 34 Peachtree downtown, 7th floor; i told them i was homeless and living in a bando but had a job and they helped me get an apartment. If you have anymore questions hot me up here
No, paid parking is limited, but located across the street for the building.
Yes, Hope Atlanta... In the building right next to woodruff park, near 5pts. You may need to get Rev Black s church to help with half.. call early or be there in person.. don't take no... They're Moody,, Deldric is the director. They call it Travelers aid, under the Hope Atlanta. 34 Peachtree. Ask at gateway, they may have other options now. God speed
Good afternoon. I believe that they can assist you in finding some housing resources.
Thats great but i am a woman
Not at this time.
Gateway is not a shelter. But they have programs catered to men only. But they do housing assessments for everyone. Hope that helped you out.
You have to go to family and children service and apply
Yes you can best time come in the morning about 9:00am George work
I am not for sure the best thing I would suggest is that you get there early in the morning and talk to a staff member and let them assist you in the right direction
We are a homeless center but you can always come in to get service 😉
Monday thru Friday...starting at 7 am...you need to be in line for a ticket to get you inside for an assessment...First come...first serve.
U can come and drop it off you like to and I would like to thank you so much for the blessings and God bless you
Yes, I got one
Gateway is a all men housing facility, but they do have networking resources that are available to help that mother & baby to help them in their immediate need. Trust in God Almighty!
I believe you can get the help you need easier at salvation Army shelter, 469 luckie st northwest Atlanta they have good help for women and children 🙏
Go call gateway and ask for an interview for assessment They should tell everything you need to know
Yes it is a great place
I think so
Yes
Worth a try. But the line gets pretty long quickly so I'd say be in line for intake Monday morning by 6:30
No!!!!! Gateway is not a food pantry?
A group of volunteers part of ISKCON prepare and serve food to homeless every Saturday and last Sunday of the month. The group name is food4life..this is the watsapp group if anyone want to be part of it...https://chat.whatsapp.com/9K0UOQfqhkM0NyLYKR6e1p
Tell them about your situation they will help you.
Come to 275 Pryor St. SW Atlanta, Georgia 30303? Gateway!!!!!! They Will Assist You?
No one has asked for I'd yet.
No... it was my understanding that you do not have to. You may do whatever you want. However if you have no plans or stable resources after Gateway that Hope Atlanta is a great resource.
Try calling Salvation Army or local assistant. Gateway is in Atlanta. Not sure if they have any resources for Jackson area
I believe the doors open at 7 or 8 you need to be in line by 5 or 6am to speak to a caseworker. It's not much help in Atlanta anymore due to over crowding. I pray to God you are in a safe place for tonight good luck and remember never give up..
Gateway will be there for you
Go to Georgia Works at Gateway in the morning. They do intake at 930.
You can get a 1 bedroom apartment for 625 a month
Yes, in the lobby, just to the left of the Security. I believe it's Tues and Thurs mornings, til noon.
Got to gateway around 6a.m. ask to dign up for onr of their mend progrsms by the end of day you should br joused 8n the center , as long as you mret thr programs citerias
I'd call 2-1-1. United Way can help if you're in an emergency situation. Gateway has emergency housing assessments M-F, but you have to be there early, I believe 7am. I'll be praying for your success.
Yes
For the Georgia Works side you only need to be clean if you are not they will send you to detox for four days. Then they will let you in the Georgia Works program. They also have a program for Veterans. They also have a program for people who receive a monthly check. At the end of the programs they help you with Housing, jobs the program really helps you get on your feet.
a
What are you saying or what is the question?
It is a long waiting list for housing period in Atlanta base on income.
All the programs have curfew. There are also exceptions to the curfews related to employment. Phone use is not barred unless in meetings, counseling, etc...
No, not really you have to call them and they can meet you outside, or if someone knows them, they may go get them
No, not really. However, Gateway helps women in numerous ways. And on that note, they will definitely steer you in the right direction darling.
They do help. Show up M-F before 7 a.m. it complete an assessment. Then they'll work on connecting you with something that's the best fit.
It's really for men but they'll refer you to the agency who can assist you with your family
There are a few family shelters and some who take women and children so you may still need to visit Gateway for consultation.
What program are you trying to get into? If you are a veteran, go to CRRC at Fort Mac and speak to Claude or Robin. The vets program on the 4th floor of Gateway is the best, bar none. Not a vet? Try georgia works or life changers.
You can always Google and get their phone number but the best way to get in contact with them and to get help from them is to be there in person so that you can explain your situation they do have a phone there but their policy is that if you have a customer right in front of you then why are you taking up your time with someone who is not there. You have to get there pretty early in order to receive service they start letting people in at 7 in the morning and by that time the line is pretty long so normal you want to get there about 15 to 20 minutes ahead of time in order to get in and get your place in line in order to receive help. So I say again the best thing to do is to actually go there and talk to the people you can always get their number off the internet 411 or that sort of thing but they normally will tell you to come in anyway so that just saves you sometime
They open like 8 in the morning for the public and like 7 in the evening but if you a resident its anytime.
Go to the website or ask at Gateway
Depends on what what program and case worker you get
Gateway is about assisting people who are homeless, in need of medical assistance, social services. Relocation suggests that you may not fit the "homeless" criteria.
