Ballantine Park is a great place for children ages 2-12 to get that last bit of energy out before dinner or a midday workout for that busy little person in your life. The parents have been friendly and welcoming in my experience. There is some deferred maintenance that needs attention along the border of the jungle gyms. If the gyms aren't quite for your little one there are other spaces to engage in more activities or just run free.

Yes. You don't have to be a Southbury resident to visit.
There's a flat parking lot but that's about it. My kids have ridden bikes there before on an overcast day because the lot was light on cars and you can see all the cars entering.
