1. The bed feels like you are lying on a rock. When the front desk staff was asked about the mattresses, they indicated that they were all the same, and no accommodations were offered to attempt to improve our stay. 2. The pool looks more like a lake than a pool, let alone one that is safe to swim in. There was no apparent chlorine smell like you’d expect to smell in a public pool. 3. The overall air temperature of the entire hotel was 76-80 degrees and humid. We set our room to 67, and the temp never got below 72. From the looks of the place, I am sure the RTUs or chiller system needs to be replaced. 4. The bathrooms are tiny and are not functional for a family of 3. The towel rack for the clean, dry towels was located inside the tub shower. 5. The vending machines don't accept credit/debit cards. I went to the front desk to get change for a $20, and I asked if there was a vending machine on the lobby floor. I was told that there are vending machines on each floor located near rooms ending in 22. I said even on floor 6? (this is the floor we were on), and the staff said yes, sir. I didn't believe this was the case because there is a sign on floor 6 indicating vending on floor 5. So I decided to stop on floor 5. I put money in the machine for the first drink. I received the first and then put in cash for the second, and it wouldn't accept my dollar. By this time, I am overly irritated and decide to try floor 6. There is no vending on floor 6, as I suspected. 6. Unless the proper updates are made, this hotel will be closed down. Consumers expect better than this, even if it is only a $ 100-a-night hotel.

Unfortunately when we tried to check in around 630 pm, our room wasn't ready. Check in time is anytime after 3 pm. We were part of group block, where some had been booked for months prior. Went to dinner came back to check in and then was checked into a dirty room. Called the front desk, had to go back down to get new keys for a new room by this time it was 9pm. We did receive a couple free drinks from the bar, and buffet passes and a discount for our troubles. But my advice would be if you don't have the staff to make sure everything is ready for the new guests coming in, don't sell the rooms. It only causes people to be upset and agrumentive while trying to check in. The only thing positive about our stay was Jordan M. he was really nice and helpful. He's apparently a man who wears several hats in the hotel. He was our bartender, then in charge of the breakfast buffet. He's definitely an asset to your company!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would have!! And after reading other peoples reviews and the hotels responses I don’t wanna hear nothing about coming back after the renovations because I WILL NOT I think it’s unacceptable that after all these people complaining you guys are still booking rooms! This place is nasty! We had to switch rooms because our 1st room was NOT clean hair and dirt on the bed when I pulled the sheets back! The toilet wasn’t even flashed from the person before stuff all over the floor. The halls/walls were nasty and dirty from the renovations being done which I could have over looked if everything wasn’t so dirty. The wall paper was peeling off the walls. The rugs were lifting off the floor. The bath tub looked like someone just painted over the rust from the oldness! The shower curtain was cloth so water just ran all over the floor! It was a nasty brown on the bottom of it. I was told we didn’t get a free breakfast even though when I booked through price line it said I did. And with the amount of money I paid to stay here every other hotel in that price range would have free breakfast! And lets not even get started with the pool so gross. This is 1st time I’ve ever stayed at a holiday Inn but never again will! I will stay with my Choice Hotels they are always nice! I never write reviews but this place took the cake for real! The only thing that was nice was the lady that switched me to another room! Terrible place! And don’t give me renovation line you should give me my money back for real. If it was my hotel I’d be ashamed!

Honestly the worst hotel experience we have ever had. My coworkers and I all had rooms that were dirty upon arrival, and not just crumbs here and there but nasty dirty. We could tell the staff was overwhelmed so we didn’t want to be burdens. Had no idea so much renovating would be happening otherwise would have chosen another place. Went to the front desk for toilet paper and they said they were completely out. Only to be woken up by a violent pounding on our door at 2:30am by security with toilet paper. Five hours after we asked for it. The next night we were kept up until 2am with hours of our neighbors pounding and yelling to get into their room. The front desk said a child had been locked out and the occupants were out cold, but the lack of concern and protocol for the situation it could have been was shocking. We are never ones to go out of our way to leave a bad review but… For the amount we’re paying for this weekend I’m truly disgusted.
