Awesome cave experience!! Our guide, Tripcie was very knowledgeable and extremely fun to follow and learn about the cavern with. She was excitable and insightful about everything! The gift shop was great as well with stones and gems from the cave and other great gifts! Amazing time from start to finish l would love to go back for the blacklist tour. Kid friendly as well!

Our tour guide Lee was awesome! The have several different options for touring and using the cave. I was the bus driver for a group of students from a local school. One bus, two groups. Both the senior high and Jr. high students enjoyed their tours. We also started with a picnic lunch on the beautiful grounds/property that surround the cave There is also a gift shop/information/snack/beverages etc.. building on the site including clean bathrooms. Definitely a great day outing destination. Close to The #LakeOfTheOzark

We passed the sign and thought a cave exploration would be fun. The staff was so friendly and our tour was amazing! Christy, our tour guide, was so clever, funny and informative that we laughed, oohed and awed the whole time. A wonderful place to visit!!!

Yes

Is there a camp

Karla Marshall | Apr 1, 2021
Stark Caverns (Owner) | Apr 2, 2021

We offer overnight camping in the cave, typically for youth groups with an adult for every 10 youth (requirement may vary by the age of the youth). call us at 573-369-3306 to inquire about a reservation. We are also opening 2 new hiking trails this weekend and will soon have expanded outdoor space for tent camping by reservation. We do not offer any day camps or RV hookups yet.

Are you planning anything special like fall activities or Christmas concerts this year?

Sheila King | Apr 1, 2020
Stark Caverns (Owner) | Apr 2, 2020

Yes we are. We are planning on a special Halloween event across Saturday and Sunday (26th and 27th of Oct) that will feature a Haunted Cave Tour on Saturday evening and a Spooky Cave Tour and Family Games on Sunday afternoon. We've added a pumpkin catapult this year that we're excited about. We will also host our 3rd annual Carols in the Cavern concert series in December. We don't have the concert dates selected yet, but expect to start working on it soon. We're also hoping to repeat our Valentines wine and food event in the cave this coming February.

We have had many babies visit the cave with and without strollers. The majority of the cave is stroller and wheelchair friendly. We hope you make the trip.

Do you allow weddings at the cave

Vanessa Admire | Apr 1, 2020
Amy Hargroves | Apr 2, 2020

Vanessa -- I do not think we could assist with your wedding this close to the date. We would need at least 2 weeks advance planning, preferably 4 to 6. This is peak season for us, so there are always quite a few visitors on the property to oversee. Weddings work best in the shoulder seasons -- spring and fall, where there are fewer people on the property, creating a more private experience. Best wishes finding a suitable location. If your plans change and you opt to delay your wedding to a bit later, let us know and perhaps we can accommodate.

How long has Stark Caverns been open?

Scott Jenkins | Apr 2, 2019

The cave has been a tour cave since the 1950's and is very historical to the Lake of the Ozarks and Eldon area. It has been a very well known and active cave since the early 1800's when the Stark family first discovered it. The cave itself has had many owners and has held many names. It is now known as Stark Caverns and previous before that it was called Fantasy Caverns for a short time. The current owners have owned it now for over 2 years and yes it is absolutely a family treat. Great for kids and such an adventure. During the tour you will learn it's history and many other facts along the way.
