We stayed at Cross Creek July 4th weekend 2022. It's a beautiful campground that's very kid friendly. As soon as we arrived the owners and staff came out to say hi and offer any help we needed. The view from our campsite looking out over the pond was amazing. We really enjoyed watching the sun rirse over the pond in the mornings. Our 3 children all enjoyed paddling on the pond in the rental kayaks/peddle boats, playing mini golf, and swimming in the pool. Additionally, it was a short drive to get to the Lake of the Ozarks and all the activities around that. And there are at least 3 different caves that can be toured all within a hour drive of the campground. I'd read some reviews that mentioned the road in being rough but I didn't have a problem getting in with our 40' 5th wheel. We just took it slow and stayed to the right going in and it was easy. I did ask the owners about the road and despite their best efforts there isn't much they can do since they don't own the road outside of their property. Overall it was a great 4 night stay and we'll definitely be visiting them again.

I really like this campground. Plenty to do right there. Staff is friendly and the few that live there were friendly as well. Reasonably close to Bagnell dam and the shops and bars there. If there is one drawback. It's that the road leading there is a rough ride. Showers free and reasonably well kept.

Definitely a unique location. The people are incredibly friendly and the ducks are awesome. There are a few things to do around camp and is tucked away in a world all its own. We enjoy our stay immensely.

Keeping in mind that we're probably a little more particular than the average RV-er. . .at first, we were a little put off by the long, arduous, hilly, narrow, gravel road to get to the campground. Upon arriving at the campground we were immediately greeted by a friendly, helpful seasonal camper that would become known as the standard for those that work and camp here. Upon first glance, our spot looked too small, cramped, and unappealing, but one of the hosts said it was the best spot and we would surely fit with no problems. To that end, he and a group of staff and seasonal campers (can't tell which is which as they are all knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful) took the time to help us turn around on that narrow, gravel road, and back us into our spot. Of course he was right; we woke up the next morning and realized it was just travel fatigue the night before distorting our vision. . .we had ample room to stretch out and the view was phenomenal. It was certainly the best spot! Shortly after setting up we realized that there was no Wifi, spotty cellular coverage, no cable. . .in the 21st century! There goes our nightly family movies and morning email checks. Honestly, it was a great "amenity." Instead of screen time, we spent hours fishing, mastering skipping rocks, feeding ducks, learning shuffle board, swimming, playing miniature golf, and just enjoying the view of the pond from the nice wooden swings while enjoying some ice cream. Oh, and we still got our nightly family movies; just watched old ones downloaded movies as we huddled around our tablet (quality family time) In the end, this was one of the best campgrounds we've ever stayed at; truly enjoyed good ole' fashion camping despite being in a RV. If I had to offer one thing that we didn't like so much it was that the high rate of seasonal campers which can, at times, make you feel like an awkward outsider to an exclusive club with a secret handshake.

We do not have a boat ramp for boats to be put in on our private lake. We do rent our paddle boats, kayaks, and Jon boats on our lake.

There were several permanent sites when we stayed there a cpl weeks ago. No idea on cost, you'd have to call. That place was like a fun little community. We also stayed in a cabin.
