Honestly, I'm not sure of the max, I would imagine 10,000, I do know that if the check is for 1,000 or more then they require ur i.d. if u r not an account holder. It doesn't cost anything to b an account holder, nor do u have to keep any amount of money in any certain account at all, ever.
