Nicely laid out and maintained short hike area. Well marked trails with varying degrees of exertion, you choose! The Tower offers a great view of the surrounding farms and woodland. Nice loop trail of about 4.5 miles of hiking that doubles, I think, as a snowshoe / X-country trail in WINTER. I'll be back to check it out. Definitely a go to for a quick day hike. Try it out.

This was such a nice place to go for a walk. Spent around 2 hrs to walk to the tower and back to the parking lot, taking our time and just enjoying nature. Fairly easy trail to walk, saw some people with dogs. They have nice benches on the trail for if you need a rest and I saw a covered patio area which was nice. From the tower you can see a beautiful view which is worth the walk to it, although the trails are beautiful all in itself. I would definitely recommend going out this Hoffman Hills! You will not regret it

It's fairly early in the season so there are quite a lot of fallen trees but the trails are still lovely. They have trail options up the wazoo. Easy all the way to the hardest and you can change your course at almost every step of the way. Making it to the top of the tower you get a wonderful view of Wisconsin.

Groomed trails are nice. It's a strenuous hike in some areas, but the views from the lookout tower make it worthwhile!

Noticed that too....they are probable thining or removing trees that need to be taken out. They logged the park about 4-5 years ago and it really concerned me then, but it has grown back so much nicer than it was before that I trust they know what they are doing. I am sure the park service could answer your questions.
