As one of two very high end resorts on Cape Cod, I feel a need to clarify why I am only giving 4 stars to this exceptional resort (with many rooms costing over $1000/night, in season, which lasts well into September, if not longer), which should warrant a 5-star review, but doesn't. First, the good news: the staff is commendably polite, helpful and responsive, from valets to front desk workers, to waitresses and housekeepers, and everyone in between. The facility, while old, is still elegant, and the views from many rooms and the veranda are of timeless beauty. The food in the principal restaurant, though ridiculously expensive, was actually very good, a significant improvement over years past. Our room, a small suite, part of a 3-unit cottage, was pleasant and well-cared for. To be clear, we very much enjoyed our stay, and would readily return. Nonetheless, there were unacceptable deficiences, especially at this price point. First, in my opinion, a high end resort such as this one should have modern bathrooms, which our small suite did not, though it was still clean and attractive. At the very least, as it does not require additional plumbing, management should consider replacing older toilets with ADA-height toilets. While not legally required, many of this resort's guests are elderly (after all, who else spends this kind of money on a vacation), and while guests may not be handlicapped in the full sense of the word, those extra few inches can make a function everyone shares far more comfortable. Second, the abence of separate shower stalls is something management should also consider changing; to take a shower one must negotiate a small tub, which is at least awkward, if not dangerous, for many non-handcapped elderly guests, as there is nothing to hold onto. But to this writer, the most obnoxious aspect of our stay was the discovery that in the general parking lot, the only handicap parking spaces are used by management to park two new vehicles, neither of which is lawfully using the spaces. The hotel seems to have an arrangement with a certain manufacturer to both use its vehicles to provide rides for guests, and to show certain of its models off, by parking them in spaces that are visible to all who pass them, at the inconvenience of its guests who may need to drive to the main building, as they cannot easily climb the fairly steep hills to the dining room. Arrogant, maybe, but at the least a mindset demonstrating excessive chutzpah.

We had lunch on the Veranda mid-September. We arrived early enough that there was plenty of seating available (~12:15). The highlight was definitely the setting. Beautiful spacious veranda with a spectacular view out to the sea and sand bars. The food and especially the heirloom beet salad was very good. I had the fried fish sandwich, which was tasty and had a nice crunch to it. My mom had and enjoyed the fritto misto. Service was good though not outstanding. Definitely worth a visit but a bit pricey.

Yes, but you should call ahead to check availability, because sometimes there's private events taking place.
Yes, the hotel is pet friendly but you need to let them know so they can place you in a room that accommodate your pet.
Although there is not an indoor pool, their spa rooms have huge soaking tubs, with a sauna & steam room shower. They do open their 2 heated pools very early in the season.
Not sure. You'll probably have to check with the front desk
Hi, Nikkie. Please give us a call to inquire about any and all tour information.
I don't think they have one large enough. You may need adjoining suites. Ocean Edge in Brewster has 3 bedroom apartments
No... there are Summer memberships though.
The rates of flexible depending on the seasons. I suggest calling or looking at their website for any specials.

Yes, the cottage I stayed in had a beautiful view of the ocean
Always check ahead but depending on the holiday it can be busy that time of season.
