Typically we enjoy going here. This year however the grass was not maintained and the kids kept getting ticks on them. The dumpster was placed in the center of the campground near the (vault) bathroom (so of course critters are drawn into the sites). Nothing too bad as we plan to visit again in July if sites are available-they are All on a first come first serve basis which can be convenient when the state parks get booked up months in advance. It is all rustic (no electric) there is a place to fill water jugs and a very small beach area (where ppl typically tend to fish as well as swim and put kayaks into water). There are 9 sites total, 4 on the water & some sites have camper pads but not all.

It is a national forest park. They have a private company doing the "enforcement" stuff of the surrounding parks as well.
