It's a nice campground when it's taken care of. The last time it really wasn't taken care of. The bathrooms were disgusting, they haven't bothered to clear out the sites, nor trim back a lot of the shrubs. Wear long clothes and do a good check for ticks because you will get them.

Only if you want to be sure that you can get one. During the summer it is pretty much necessary.

The state camp ground you use the DNR website
Call before you reserve. Some campsites are a fairly large size. But best to ask someone who sees it more often. I think you can try (231) 848-4880
You can call 180044PARKS or go online to the DNR website to look at available dates and reservations. :)
