Awesome place! Colors are beautiful this time of year! Only thing we didn't care for are the 7am gun shots from the duck hunters as our dog is skittish from the loud noise.... would definitely come back just not during duck season.

Beautiful place to camp but beware of the care takers of the island.. They'll want to charge you for any campsite with more than two tents even though no rule on their board has this. Along with this they'll habitually harass you day to day for being a little to loud parked odd all sorts of things.. Will likely never go back.

Questions & Answers

Are there any open campsites, for July 2nd through the 6th? We've stayed at Rons cabins a few times & discovered the island, & have been wanting to camp there ever since. Can we reserve? Or is it first cime first serve? THANK YOU , The Dwyers,

The campsites are first come, first serve. Last time I was there, there were good sites open late into the evening. I imagine it'll be busier for the weekend of the 4th, so you may want to get there early!
