This was my second time in a POD hotel and was amazing the hole experience in the POD51, the staff is super friendly, always caring about us, super cool ambience, people, the neighborhood, so near to metro stations, good food around, I can keep going...only I can say, is wait me there next year! PS: especial thanks to Alba, the second floor cleaner lady, she was an angel on my path!

i really wanted to love this hotel, but had so many problems during my stay here. 1. mice and bugs in the room. i had to move rooms TWICE. really stressful, it’s hard to relax in your room or sleep well when this is a concern. 2. lots of things were broken in the rooms. for example the toilet was leaking when flushed, the shower tap came off the wall when you turn it, the bedside lamps didn’t work. the hotel did send someone very quickly to fix these problems, but shouldn’t really have happened to begin with. 3. it’s very loud. the A/C units in the room are very noisy, and the walls are so thin that you can hear everything from other rooms, the hallway, even the lift. thankfully i brought earplugs but even with those it wasn’t really quiet. 4. really difficult to collect mail for some reason - i had a USPS parcel delivered and 2 guys at the front desk told me it wasn’t there, USPS hadn’t been at all. they told me to walk to the USPS office to ask them. of course USPS told me it had been delivered and even described who they gave it to. when i came back to the hotel i asked a 3rd hotel staff member, who said yes it had been delivered that morning and they would get it for me from the mail room. so the first 2 guys just don’t have a clue, or were trying to steal guests’ mail…? it’s really a shame there were so many problems because this place could be good - it’s in a good location to explore the city, and the small rooms are fine for travel on a budget. some of the staff were also really nice, the asian-american man at the front desk and also the maintenance guys who came to fix things in my room. unfortunately due to the problems described above i can’t recommend it to anyone and i would never stay here again.

They charge $277 for one night in a “ shoe box” tiny room that you could barely move . Overpriced and overrated…..!!!

Yes there are. But you should check the hotel's website because there is no fixed price for all the nights of your stay: one night can cost 100 dollars and the next 125, for example.
I took an Uber from Pod51 to Laguardia with one of my friends on a Thursday at 8:40am. It cost $45 and took about 25min
No u have to call them regularly
Check their website.
Hi! It is normal, but only for a few moments.
Yes. At the reception there is a girl and a boy. In NYC in general there are a lot of Latin people.
Yes! We’re happy to accept up to four standard sized packages.

When checking into the hotel, the lead guest on the reservation must be 18 or over.
If they store the luggage, if you arrive before the delivery of the room or if the flight is after check out.

Hello, it is more advisable not to rent a vehicle in Manhattan, the estimated value is $ 15 per half hour onwards and depending on the place it may be more expensive
Not in the std room with bunk beds and shared bathrooms. But you can buy coffee in the restaurant are next to the reception.
Unfortunately, there is no complimentary breakfast served here. The hotel is 20minutes driving and 25minutes on train. Room availability should be available but you would have to reserve a room in order to secure one
Hi Maria, Please reach out to reservations directly for extended stay options: 844-POD-ROOM. Unfortunately, Pod 51 does not allow pets, but we have sister properties that do.
Hi Ligia, The security deposit is not a charge, it is an authorization. This hold is released at check-out. The time it takes to be available in your account is dependent on your financial institution. Please note, the approximate time frames were noted on the registration card reviewed and signed at check-in. We have no control over the time it takes your bank to release the money, so we do try to make this clear at check-in. I hope this helps.
Yes. Without extra costs.
There are a variety. You have Treehaus, Panda Expree, Spixe Symphony, Tanaka, Wild Ginger, Le Bateau Ivre, Crave Fishbar, The Smith and Mimis. There is also a McDonalds 1 block over and pizza can be deliver to the hotel if you choose to do so. There are more but thats just some of them.
The only thing that you can really find are rooftop parties near by if there arent many. Most of those are open becuase you have to pay for drinks.
