I love Sardis. It is a part of my history and the food is great, the wait staff is wonderful and it's just a piece of history that no other restaurant can compare to.
jummy
Pleasantly surprised. I don't know what I expected, but the food here is great. Our group had the quesadillas, meatballs, pizza, turkey club and fries. All of it delicious and delivered pretty quickly. Drinks came out fast too. Great service. Also nice to see all the pictures on the wall and try to decipher who was who.

We had a great meal at Sardi's. We were seated immediately at 6:00 on a Friday night and received great service. The food was good but nothing to get overly excited about.

Great environment and prices, it's a treat in New York when you are there

Because there is a before and after sinner crowd formal attire is not required. Dress according to your event/reason for the reservation. They get lots of tourists so you won't be out of place if you choose biz casual
Yes ! But I agree that the idea of waiting at the (great) bar ...adds to the fun
You don't have to but it's a good idea! Very popular place and understandably so.
I made a reservation online
It will be fine
That's a question for the restaurant.
The dining room is on the first floor and handicap accessible. I think you have to take stairs to get to the bathrooms.

No dress code but don't dress up in shorts and flip flops. Dress like a man not like a boy. It's dinner not a snack from the kitchen as you walk by the refrigerator.
I am old school, so I would wear a sport jacket at a minimum.
Yes i believe so.
No. The food is very good and no restaurant in NY is more able to get you to your curtain on time. Great NY tradition. I've had more than 200 meals there since 1982.
I would say it depends on your children; if they are really young and unruly, then you would be wise to dine elsewhere. The restrooms are up a narrow set of stairs on the second floor, and I do not recall seeing a changing table. On the other hand, if your children are older, can sit quietly and enjoy a nice meal, and use their manners, I don't see why not. It's a unique dining experience. DON'T skip dessert!!!
