Very nice hotel. Clean, well appointed and great location. Breakfast was a bit lacking but that seems to have become the norm in most places right now. I would gladly stay at this hotel again if I could avoid the front desk. This morning (7/24 @ approximately 8 am) after carrying my breakfast plate upstairs to enjoy in my room, I discovered I had been checked out and my digital key had been inactivated. I carried my plate back downstairs to get an actual key card. Told the gal at the desk the situation and expressed to her that I wasn't happy about the inconvenience and the fact my breakfast was continuing to get cold. She told me to "Calm Down" that I hadn't been checked out and everything was fine. (I was not anything other than calm with her at any point.) I told her that despite her reassurances, I still needed a key to get in my room and I advised her to never tell a guest to "calm down". She then proceeded to argue with me, telling me she was just being nice, I didn't hear her tone of voice, etc." She was completely rude and condescending. I told her that I clean heard her tone and there is no circumstance or tone of voice which makes telling a guest to "calm down" acceptable, especially when I was nothing but calm I wished her a good day and walked away before she could continue to argue with me. Very disappointed in her representation of the staff.

I travel for work and what made this hotel special was the professional and friendly customer service that Autumn provided. Autumn had an unusual emergency today and the hotel management allowed her to bring her children to work. They were adorable and well mannered. I am in sales and believe when an employee feels valued it shows in their work. Best customer service I've had in a while. I'll definitely stay here again. Signed a Diamond Hilton Member!

We may consider other options when we return to Lansing. We had a suite and the kitchen was an awesome feature (and a suite is nice to have with a family of 5!) However, the beds were not comfortable. I don't appreciate the "call if you want your room attended to." I don't want to have to be thinking about that when at a hotel, and it just resulted in me going to the front desk all the time for shampoo, tissue, tp, etc. Our friends reserved a trundle bed online, called and confirmed, then upon arrival were told "we are out/don't have those here." Breakfast was descent! Fitness room was nice. It was fairly close to the capitol area and the Lansing Mall. Altogether, nothing horrible, just average.

We just stayed at this property and overall was a decent stay. The positives are that it is well kept and the staff is very friendly. It seems to be a newer property so it was comfortable. Unfortunately we were very disappointed overall, as we live locally and really only came for the stay in order to use the swimming pool. I called the morning before to confirm that it was open for use and was told that it was. When we got to the hotel they said that it was closed for the day for maintenance and we couldn’t use it. It was really sad for our kids who were really looking forward to getting to swim. Additionally, the air conditioning unit in the room was not correctly connected to the wall thermostat and was extremely noisy throughout the stay.
