They have been very kind to us about mailing discount certificates for a percentage off towards spay/neuter surgeries to our local vet when we have adopted pets over the years. The staff has always been friendly on the phone and more than glad to offer assistance. Their office hours are short so you do have to call in the morning before noon, But I have had nothing but positive experiences with this organization.

The SPCA has a list of veterinarans. Depending on the medical care your pet needs, the SPCA may provide a voucher for the first visit.

How old do you have to be to volunteer here? I am really into animals and I am 15 years old. I really want to work with animals in someway when i’m older and I want a head start at volunteering here! I live really close. I would walk every day!

I would go pay them a visit to ask for sure, but legal working age is 14. Some places you have to be 16, 18, or 21 for legal or safety reasons. My best guess is 16 or 18 given safety protocols required for working with the animals. Best way to find out is to stop by and inquire within.

Do you guys accept cats that don’t have homes?

They offer services for feral cats as well to be released. You will have to.contact them about leaving the cat to the shelter if you don't intend to release it yourself.

They can assist with spay/neuter. They will suggest a vet in area they work with.

You should visit the center with a parent or guardian and make your case in person...
