I am just learning of the mice infestation that is running rapid through these apartments if our Seniors and Veterans and nothing is being done to assist. Deployment

Since construction started nearby, the complex is overrun with rodents and the maintenance does not consider it important enough to send Exterminator out to resolve the problem. I was on a waiting list ten years to be in an apartment filled with vermin!!!!

I have lived in building #3 for 5 years now and have never experienced what I’m about to say. On 6/29/2018 a man died in his apartment on the first floor. His body was not removed until 7/2/2018. The man for whatever reason never used A/C. So needless to say his body started to quickly decompose in the stifling heat of his apartment. I can’t begin to describe the odor that we residents had to put up with for almost 4 days. And believe it or not as I write this review on 7/6/2018 the stench of rotting human flesh is still in the air. The building manager, Cheryl tried to appease us by handing out air freshener. There is no way that store bought air freshener is going to get rid of the odor of a rotting human body. Now she’s on vacation for a week and the community manager Darlene Coates has not done anything…not even shown her face in light of what is going on. People are getting sick, not able to eat food in their apartments, not able to sleep because the stench is still in the air…in the hallway…in our apartments. We desperately need help but we are afraid to make waves for fear of retaliation from management (Edgewood Mgt. headquartered in Bethesda, MD?) and CHAI. Please someone out there help us …call the news media…anyone to help us. This “village” is not at all what it is presented to be. If you are looking for a place to spend your later years comfortably …take a close, hard look. Don’t be fooled by the “prettiness” of the place. This is only one problem but there are many, many more of which I will disclose in the very near future. Keep your eyes out for more of the problems of Weinberg Village.
