Bear lake is huge, the beach front vast, the water shallow and just the perfect refreshing temperature. Oh and there are some very cool mountain views. There are places to get food and provisions. Make sure to being all the beach accoutrement as if it were the oceans, towels, umbrellas, a cooler with snacks and beverages, floaties, etc. You drive right on the beach, but don't go into sand too soft as I saw people that had to push their vehicle up a ridge of soft, white sand.

This is our favorite beach location at Bear Lake. Just left a week there. The water is way lower than previous years. You can drive directly onto the beach which is very convenient to unload all your things. There is no shade--bring your own. We love to go early and enjoy the quiet beach in the morning. We also love to come late afternoon into the evening. There are frequent afternoon wind storms here, be prepared. Great location for kids, you can walk out close to half a mile before you will not be able to touch (if you're 5'5" or taller). LOTS of water to play in!

Fun place to let the kids play and swim in the lake. Its $7 a car or if you have a state park pass from Idahonits free. The water is super shallow for quite a ways out. No shade so bring your own. Can rent paddle boards/kayaks/waverunners just down the street

Love North Beach! Want to know the locals secrets? Bring dinner. Show up later in the day. Usually there are plenty of spots around 4pm and everyone leaves at the “afternoon wind storm”. Once they leave it calms down and you can enjoy what we call locals hour during dinner and sunset! Thanks me later! Enjoy Bear Lake!

The beach and swimming area does not allow dogs. The rest of the lake, just bringing your dog boating with you, would be fine. 👍
Yes
No water or electric hook ups at the beach. Seems like most years there is a fire ban lately.
The other day when we were there, there were both travel trailers and motorhomes alike. You may have to pay a little extra to get in though. Otherwise it's just $5
8 AM I think
Definatley North Beach. July and August do get really crowded and they sometimes close the entrance by 11 AM and don't let anymore in till 3 PM. Get there early.
I don't think they reserved my think it's first come first serve get there early
It is always open. It fills up early do to the fact that the lake is full and parking is limited. So the earlier you can get there the better the chance of not having to wait in line. Also as there is no public beach don't bring your dogs. There is no dogs on north beach.
North beach does not have any camping, however there are a few campgrounds on the east side that are right on the water.
I am sure you will be fine
It has been a few years, but i think that's the one on the east side, south of the main campground. It has a subtle gated entrance.
Yes get there early.
Keri to answer your question. I am unsure as for directly on the beach. However I do know the have designated sites for safe camp fires monitored by the Idaho parks and recreation.
Be there by 10 and you will be good. If it is overcast anytime works. I've found overcast days are the best. Not a lot of people and not too hot. As long as it doesn't rain. Those days can be on the colder side and no one is there.
Im not sure about that. I think there is a visitors center. You can look up that number and start there. You can also try posting an ad on Craigslist or KSL classified ads asking if anyone has found them. I hope you find them!
There is a covered table at North Beach State Park and it needs to be reserved
You can not camp there, but around the lake there are many camping centers, the last time I was there I was camping at the KAO marina and it was a good experience.
I believe 8:00 am it was open at 9:00 when we went last week.
