Really enjoyed our tour. The view to get up here was amazing. Note however, it gets cold inside the cave around 40 degrees all year long. So do bring a sweater, a long pants and a comfortable walking shoes with a good grip because it does get very slippery. There’s also more than 800 round trip stairs, and 72 of that is a single steep climbing. Cost is $8 for adults and $6 for children. Tour takes about an hour and so much fun. You will learn a lot from the tour guides. Cheers!

This cave is in a mountain, which is of course very cool. Tours run frequently during their open hours so it is not hard to get on one. There are lots of stairs, so many stairs, stairs galore. Some are a bit slick but overall not too bad and there are hand rails the whole way. Many cool formations in the cave (don't touch!) and the tour guide was very good with a plethora of good jokes and information.

Really enjoyed this cave! I went with my husband and son. We all enjoyed it. Super easy to find parking and purchase tickets. We explored the area nearby the lower booth where you purchase tickets. There’s a bathroom near the parking lot which was convenient. We easily found parking near the cave area up the road and waited on a bench near the entrance. Waiting area is shaded and there are restrooms there as well. Our guide was good. Gave lots of interesting facts about the area and cave history. I highly recommend bringing a sweatshirt or jacket, as well as gloves for the icy cold hand rails you will need to maintain your balance on the slippery steps and path. I also wore a beanie which I was glad I did. I also recommend wearing hiking boots or athletic shoes with tread or grippers. I did see others wearing sandals which is not for me with the traction needed to not slip. Cave stays 40 degrees year round. So come prepared. There are snacks and drinks available for purchase at lower booth. Beautiful area and a great experience. Highly recommend.

Fun cave tour! It was so nice and cool inside on a hot July day! The guides were fun! Lots of stairs, but the guides are accomadating for people that needed to go a little slower.

Yes I work at the cave and it will be open. Probably pretty busy!
I did call Monday is the last day they are open.
Any day of the week is good more people on the weekends. 8 dollars a person. I would have to say no on reservations this is a kind of out-of-the-way place so not too many people go. The phone number on Google is wrong. This is the right number 435-491-0618. YOU need to bring a jacket because it's 40 degrees in there and I think you need to bring gloves to because there's a handrail you got to hold onto and it's cold. Click the web link on google map to take you to the USDA WEBSITES. There's more information on that page for the cave
It opens on Memorial Day and stays open until Labor Day.
I think it opens around Memorial day and tours are first come first serve, but I don't believe there are any discounts for groups.
Cave opens around Memorial Weekend and close Labor Day Weekend, depending on weather. Cave is open 7 days a week from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tours run every half hour and the last tour starts at 5:30 p.m.Reservations needed.
They open at 9 a.m. We got there a little before that and got in line. Got tickets for the first tour at 10. Beautiful caves! Have fun.
