I really enjoy going to the center. I go 2 to 3 times a week for classes. Monday's is crocheting Tuesday is unfinished projects which could be crocheting knitting jewelry plastic canvas. On Wednesday is ceramics. And all these classes the ladies are so nice. And the staff at the center are just great people. They do bingo they do games during the morning and afternoon like Rubik's cube they have a nice pool room just a lot of fun things to do.

The Chandler Senior center has many opportunities for you to make new friends. They have exercise classes, card groups, knitting and crochet group, quilting group and plenty of room to socialize. Parking is free and the Chandler library is right next door. Come over and give it a try. The Break Time magazine (free) also has many classes and group trips listed.
There is a plethora of categories. Cards, crafts, ping pong, lectures, field trips, trivia, and so much more. BreakTime magazine has everything listed. Including items for children and families thru the Tumbleweed Rec Center. Pick up the magazine in stores and public places around town. Lunch is served everyday around 11:30. Sign up starts around 9. Costs are minimal - $2.50. Salad is an option if you are not fond of the main course.
Yes, Paratransit and Ridechoice are transportation options. The classes have fees but there are many activities that are free. There is no fee to join. They also serve lunch for a small suggested donation.
Yes, there are some that you may have to pay for, there are ALL that are free. Games, crocheting, ceramics, quilting, exercise, all are free to seniors. Please come in and check out the center. Lots of very friendly people and a nice environment.
lookin forward to the senior center meal at the chandler, az. my new home, much better than the cop infested mesa suburb, where i seek to avoid at all cost,,,
That sounds like a plan
The Chandler Senior Center has something for everyone. Pick up a Break Time magazine in the lobby or at many other places where it is displayed...it is free! Within those pages is everything that the Chandler area has to offer. Classes, field trips, group activities and more. Also there is a map of the area so you can find your way around easier. CSC is open every weekday and offers lunch to all who sign up...a donation is asked.

I was just visiting for the day with myvAunt, so I'm not sure. It's best to call them directly.
Come when available between 9am and 1 pm you will get all the answers at the reception office
You can go to the front desk and they have info about all the stuff they offer. Also I am pretty sure the Break Time magazine has all the classes listed as well. I know the Chandler one does :)
You would schedule that with the ADA Paratransit Authority... not the Senior Center.
Go to Chandleraz.gov and they have all the info you will need...activities, menu and more.
