what’s the point of offering assistance if you’re not going to call people back or simply pick up the phone? I put in rental Assistance in December it’s damn near July! Haven’t heard anything

Even though the process wasn’t perfect... I was able to get help. After about 6 to 8 weeks; I was approved for rental and utilities. Unfortunately; many organizations are exhausted and as of today I am about to be homeless at the end of the month. Our Government needs to step up and help everyone. Thank goodness for nonprofit organizations like the CAP program. I finally secured a job but unfortunately we’re on the brink of another Shutdown. Hopefully 🙏🏼 Those who survive this pandemic 😷 can find peace ☮️ We need change.

You would probably have to contact your probation officer and ask if they are in the list of organizations that would allow them to. But I have seen some of the people passing out food boxes are part of a community service program.
