Chickahominy Riverfront Park is a great camping spot right outside of Williamsburg and a good home base if you want to visit Jamestown or Yorktown as well. There are a variety of sites (group sites, electric/water, and full hookup). The …

Rachel, Forewarned, my grandson has autism and has a hard time because the kids have to vacate the pool for 15 minutes out of every hour for adult swim. He is 4, non verbal and does NOT get the concept. I believe they are open from 12-6 daily but I would check their website.
I didn't see a grill at my site but they had fire pitt
Yes. It depends on the hookups need and time of year. We just left and at this time of year with full hookups it was $625 +taxes for 30 amp.
Yes they will allow you to check out the sites before you reserve. Great camp ground!

The pool is part of the James city county park system. You can pay for the day without needing to stay in the campground.
There are lights on the pier.

There are no cabins at this park
Check with the VA Dept. of Game and Inland Fisheries for info on, and to buy, fishing licenses. We do not sell licenses at the park. Dogs are permitted in the park.
I think they were 18-20 per night. They're pretty nice sites that are close to the river but only a very few have river access. Most that I saw had steep wooded hills between the sites and the water. There is not a ton of tree coverage between sites but they have a LITTLE privacy. On Saturday night to Sunday it was PACKED, and then Sunday night to Monday, we were the only people in the primitive campground and head the whole place to ourselves
Catfish mostly this time of year
“Public display” of alcohol is prohibited, but not alcohol explicitly. As the others have stated, be discrete.
Definitely. They are great to deal with!
According to their website, reservations must be paid at the time of making them.
