Nasty hotel. Felt dirty from the second you walk in. Smells like cigarettes in the halls. The elevator smelled like salami? When you walk into the room, there's a light switch but no light. There's no light on the ceiling! Just a dull lamp that you have to walk through the pitch black room to turn on. We asked for new bedding because it was clear the pillow cases weren't changed from a crunchy stain so we figured nothing else was changed either. The new bedding smelled like mildew and the new pillow cases had bunch of stains and were really scratchy. My husband forgot to ask for blankets also so we asked after we came back (left for a while because we felt dirty being there and we thought about leaving) and they told us that they can't give us anything passed 9. Like why? Dumb. We felt like they were lying just so they didn't have to give them to us. Oh, also can't forget about the pool. Pool was okay but while we were out there, a man was digging through the dumpsters then another man showed up and joined him. They were watching towards the pool so we felt the need to go inside. We definitely wish we would've spend the extra money on a better hotel.

Was set up here for company orientation checked in on Sunday night about 7pm was given a room that appeared on the surface to be clean till we pulled the sheets back to call it a night. The bed was clearly dirty had all kinds of hair in the sheets. The towels was folded as if they was clean. My wife started to take a shower and noticed the towels was dirty also. Went to front desk with pillow that looked to have feces rubbed on the case of it. They pulled out a note book looked through it upon review of their note book was given another room that the AC didn’t work. Informed front desk they said due to us having pets they couldn’t move us to another room. We tried to deal with it due to the outside temps wasn’t to bad room stayed about 75 the whole time. At night the place comes alive people coming and going all night long in and out all hours, very heavily trafficked. Cops was on property for issues several nights in a row. Long story I guess you get what you pay for. Checked out and went to the Hilton. Would not recommend this place for anyone.

Positive: Location¿close to highway, restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Nice, hot breakfast. I was leery because of other reviews, but for price, it was nice! Lucky to get any breakfast at all. Negative: Could use updating

Omaha's best kept secret; this historic hotel doesn't try to hide the years it has spent serving guests. It has been a home for refugees, it's been a last stop before hospice where loved ones can be together and relax, and even disaster relief and emergency housing. It is a place where service animals and pets are welcome (We all love animals at my house!). There's even some little natural grassy areas with indigenous foliage around the building to explore. Children are welcome here, They are the Very Important People here. Breakfast is delicious, the housekeeping staff is down to earth and tells it like it is, and the management is on-site, so every detail is mostly perfect, with a few exceptions to remind us that we are still human, after all. It's far enough from downtown that most events don't affect the prices, but there are exceptions. Why book any other hotel?
