Didn't know the area but needed a place to stay on my trip from Minnesota back to Texas and this was a good 6 hours drive. Sadly once we arrived in the area it was quickly apparent that we were in an older community with limited care. The host was respectful and willing to respond quickly to questions but low rating is deserved dew to issues with enforcing the nighttime curfew. Examples on our stay: Around 11:30 two women began yelling and cursing at each other in a room across the hall. We had to report them twice before police had to be called. That resolved after midnight. Then new guests arrived to the room next door. They stayed up until 3am talking and laughing while their kids watched TV at full volume. The night manager was asleep on the sofa and had to be woken to respond to my concerns. She responded to the incident about 30 minutes later. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with a family or who needs a good night's rest. Rooms were most definitely dated. They fo provide free coffee and tea by the front desk 24/7. The dog area is an open grassy area by the main road. The parking lot is very old, cracked and broken, but it is spacious. The neighborhood is older and rundown. On our visit there was a group of latinos standing around the parking by the main road; there was is a safety concern because they were eyeballing us as we took our bags into our room. Our room had a cracked and rusting bathtub. WiFi was sketchy at best, my wife couldn't connect. The A/C unit worked well but squeaked to a halt everytime the fan stopped blowing. The curtains are very old and the sunblocking portion is falling apart so that you get a night sky look on the curtain when all lights are off in the room. Staff wise, there was only one person on duty when we were here.

The flower pots out front are full of cigarette butts and trash. Pealing paint on railings. Not a good entrance way. Ice machine is dirty and probably never cleaned. I wouldn’t eat ice but I wanted to cool bottles.however the chute is broken. Paint spots all over from painting. Cigarette burns in bed spread. Breakfast area was closed so they didn’t have hot breakfast like the said but looking at the dirty coffee station I probably wouldn’t eat here. Dirty carpets throughout. Dirty furniture. This place is just not kept up on maintenance and needs cleaned. Dirty lamps. Lock your doors because housekeeping has room keys out where anyone can just grab one.

It started with a rude indifferent clerk, our rooms filthy stained carpet, dirty bathroom floor, a rusty hole in our tub floor and a filthy stained desk chair. The continental breakfast was coffee and juice, no toast, waffles or anything as depicted in the add. The dining area was blocked off with no explanation, no one at the front desk to answer questions, the only staff was housekeeping and no one spoke english. I'd like to share pictures?

Kinda ghetto & gross... 1st room we hadn't even got to the room before we heard someone across the hall yelling at their young kid. Kudos to staff for promptly getting us another room (I realize that's out of their control). The fridge & microwave were clean. 2nd room had ants, previous puke remnants on bathroom wall and spots of blood in carpet & on walls. I realize people have different standards but I would have expected better for a $80 king size bed. We certainly won't return.
