Wonderful place. You get to help so many people. The four stars is because the latex covers and gloves make you sweat literal buckets. This is coming from a guy who can play football in 90° weather with jeans and not sweat a drop.

My wife and I volunteer every 3rd Thursday. It is a very easy thing to do to give back to your community, and when your 2 hours is up, you learn how many tons of food you packaged, how many meals that makes, and how many hundreds of food challenged people it will feed. There are various groups of organizations that volunteer, so it can also be a great team building event, that also makes you feel that you've done a really good thing for your community too. Its not really a competition, but we pride ourselves on having the most through-put of filled boxes of rice, oats, canned foods, or dry goods. The same can be said for the nights that we sort carrots, apples, pears, potatoes or onions. How many totes you can finish versus the rest of the squads adds to the sense of accomplishment. Give it a try, they are always looking for volunteers.

This is an amazing organization doing much needed work! Participated in a volunteer event through my work and had a blast while accomplishing a ton. The staff that were leading the event were incredibly friendly, organized and fun. If you have time to volunteer here, I highly recommend it! And they can always use more helping hands!

With two hours of my time, I was able to help package 337 meals. That is a meal a day for almost a year for someone. WOAH! Such a great place to give back and do some volunteer work!

You visit a pantry, not the food bank (unless you are an agency). To find the nearest pantry or food share program around you, please contact 211 information.
It's only a distributor for other food bank, but if u show up and look lost u can get a one time only food box from them
Hey Sarah, thank you for asking! It depends on where you're looking to take donations. Oregon Food Bank does not take these items, but some of our partners may! Please visit OregonFoodFinder.org to find a partner near you. If you have any other questions, let me know! -Ashley
You have to live ANY WHERE in Oregon and southern washington for services.
contact Mudbone Grown LLC
You can bring them frozen food yes unopened yes. Opened no.
Yes as long as it isn't too far out of date. It also can't be bloated or badly damaged.
Not sure whether this is what you're asking — you can make a donation in someone's honor, and get a gift card to give to them. I did that for Christmas for people in my office. Oregon Food Bank will send you very cute paper cards, or an electronic version.
Hi Victoria, You can fill out this form and our team will get back to you as soon as they can. https://secure.oregonfoodbank.org/a/contact-us-new-food-assistance-partnership
No, unfortunately we do not.
They do not see these questions in real time, and we (other people like you) have no idea when "today" is for you. In other words, this question could have been asked five minutes ago or five months ago. For questions like this, pick up the phone, call them, and ask them your question.
I don't understand your question.
Go to there website, Oregonfoodbank.org
I think it would be good in front of big doors. Lots of room there?
Yes. They will take both.
I know for a fact the food bank does take and distribute pet food and other pet items.
Contact The Oregon Food Bank for requirements connected with there organization. Anyone can start a can food drive, but just make sure you go through the proper channels within your place of employment. Especially with the holidays coming up I'm sure your co-workers wouldn't mind contributing to a worthy cause.

Zarephath is in Gresham. Operated by Trinity Luthern. I believe they're open 10 to 2 Monday through Friday they're off West Powell
Adding to what others have said, I believe different locations have different requirements. Be aware also that you should search for "food pantries" in your area - this is where food is given out to families. The Oregon Food Bank is where food is sorted before being delivered to food pantries
No, the Oregon Food Bank is a sorting, packaging, distribution center. They send bulk food to local food pantries, where the food boxes are available. You need to find a food pantry in your area.
I suggest you contact the Oregon Food Bank directly. I suspect they have a number of guidlines and suggestions for the local food banks.
The Oregon food bank is not run buy a church However there are a few churches that are affiliated with the distribution of food for Oregon Food Bank
Used or new cookware or food can also be donated to Southeast Community food pantry and Clothes Closet located off Southeast 56th and Rhone 3353 SE, Rhone St. Southeast Community food pantry and Clothes Closet is one of the largest distributors for Oregon food bank. The hours of operation for the food pantry are Mondays and Thursdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. And Wednesdays 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. There is also a free family hot meal every Thursday night from 4:30 to 6
I've only seen the ingredient sticker on the packages.
The Oregon Food Bank is a wholesale-level distribution network. It receives bulk (truck loads) shipments of fresh and frozen foods and repackages them and distributes to food pantries, meals programs, etc who then distribute to families and individuals. There are many local food pantries, run by chuches, schools, and others. If you do not know where to find the closest one, you can ask any social service agency or call your city government or a nearby church. They will usually have this information and most will not require that you identify yourself.
