First off the YMCA part of the program was good but the pyn network was bad. How can you guys not pay these kids after signing up and they spending their summer in a program that was suppose to pay the kids 1000. My kids didn't receive money until the end of the program which was for 600.00. This is a horrible program. They weren't always this messy because my oldest son went their and got paid every week. My kids will not be attending to this program next year

I worked for work ready since I was a senior in high school and I never had a issue until this year. July 6th was when I started working. Before I started, I was told that I would be getting paid every 2 weeks but then when I started, it changed which was really weird and it said that I will be getting paid when the internship is over which to me is crazy because what if I needed the money right away which I did because it was hard getting to work & back home but anyway, the internship was over three weeks ago on August 2nd. It is now August 22nd and I haven’t received no paycheck at all. At first I was told that the reason why I haven’t received my check was because they didn’t believe that I was a Philadelphia resident because of the college that I attend which is crazy because on my application, my home address is on there which is located in PHILADELPHIA. So I got an email from my boss saying that everything is resolved and that checks will be mailed out on the 12th. Which was literally two weeks ago and guess what, I still didn’t get my check. At this point, I feel like I was never getting paid to begin with and I was just being lied to this whole time which is not cool at all. I worked way too hard this summer and for me to not receive my money is just crazy. At this point, I no longer want to work for PYN. I should not be going through this. NO ONE should be going through this. Very unprofessional.

They are the WORST , they say you get paid on a Friday & you actually don’t get paid until two weeks later .. their office is so unorganized they’re rude & they don’t care about how you feel they make you work just not to get paid I don’t recommend

My son is currently attending this program. He's been there everyday. He has only received 1 paycheck. It's going on 6 weeks now. Every week the program directors say next week. Now they're saying we will receive an email from pyn. It's bad for the children 😔 & parents.update they paid the children at the end. HE COMPLETED his first job, so excited for him, thank you PYN.

Go on PYN Web site the Service Provides are named/listed on the pyninc.org website
They said that you had to be 13 of age to start work. With that you need to have your state ID, work permit and social security card
You just can't
Hi Shaniqua, Thank you for reaching out. You can reach our WorkReady hotline at 267-502-3742.
That can vary. Best bet would be to check with your worksite or provider organization.
The oldest age for working at pyn is 21 years old
