The Wedding Agent (Mia) rented us candelabra, smaller candle centerpieces, a card box, and a cake stand for our wedding. It was a difficult experience, so let me try to be as fair as possible with this review. The quality of her decorations is much better than many of the other similar businesses in the area. When we booked her, she still had a store front north of Buffalo. It is my understanding that she does not anymore, so I do not know how that has changed her booking process. In the run up to the wedding, her invoices contained error after error that took several hours of text messaging to fix, although we eventually got there. You can only pay her on Venmo, so be prepared for limited options for payment. She dropped off the stuff on time, and let me say what we got what gorgeous…. but we did not get all that we paid for. First, the golden, square cake stand I chose in her former store was not what we got. We got a tall, wobbly cake stand. When we arrived for the reception, the staff at our venue asked us to approve removing the cake stand, as the cake was so unstable it may fall. Of course, we did so. When asked about this, Mia blamed the venue for having wobbly tables. The tables were perfectly sound, and I found this accusation to be rude. Then, two days after my wedding while I was on my honeymoon, Mia texted me saying that she never got her card box back. Contacting us at that precious time was so rude, especially considering the reservation was under my mother’s name and call number and she was more than willing to deal with any issues while my husband and I were sharing our honeymoon. She basically accused us of taking the card box with us to our home when all along the venue had given it back to her and she just misplaced it. Finally, three large candelabra – worth hundreds of dollars – were not delivered to the wedding even though she put them in our invoice. They were to have gone on the head table and the gift table – which she herself noted in our invoice. When asked about this and for a refund, Mia denied there having been a mistake event though we have literal photos of the head table without any candelabra on them. If you look at Mia’s Google reviews, you will see many other reviews like this where she comments combatively, never admitting fault and defending herself to the end. I fully expect this to be one of them. Do yourself a favor and do not rent from her unless you are out of other options. It is such as shame because the decorations we did get were lovely and high quality. But her poor communication, frequent mistakes, and rude attitude ruin what could be a wonderful business.

Asked for prices on flower backdrop and fairy light backdrop and we decided on the flower backdrop when I walked into my wedding venue it was a very a fairy light back drop , although I didn’t end up paying for the flower backdrop. I did not want a fairy light backdrop. I was sent an invoice I paid it and expected to have the flower backdrop behind my throne chairs. If I was going to do a fairy light backdrop I would have just done it myself as I did two of them myself for the dessert table and they were a third of the price they charged me. Fairy light backdrop was beautiful but my sisters who set up my other backdrops even said something to the girl who set it up and she was like well this is what I’m putting up. Edit : I’m unsure why you didn’t deliver or charge what you were supposed to either. I said in the original review I didn’t pay for flower wall. And you most certainly told my sisters , “well this is what I’m setting up “. There was a miscommunication on your end. You are rude Other reviews prove that as well. You should be lucky your business is in Buffalo where there isn’t a lot of competition. I will tell everyone I know on every platform I have how absolutely unprofessional you are . You deal with people on one of their most important days, and you have no compassion.

Horrible people who are taking advantage of a young couple who had to cancel due to covid-19. They are refusing to refund any of their money totally despicable. I will personally be in contact with the news to make sure what is happening will be all over the news.

Would highly recommend this business! Mia went over and above to help us when our daughter’s wedding had to be rescheduled due to the Coronavirus outbreak. She has the most beautiful selection of decorative items and is so creative and helpful. Can’t say enough good things about The Wedding Agent!
