I took a position here recently and I didn’t make it 30 days. Like why is this place still even open. The staff is horrible, all the nurses are agency nurses so they don’t know to much about the place it like a waste. It’s so outdated and nasty in here it’s sad. No lockers everyone bags is laying all around the nurses station. They have one sitter sitting with 2 or more patients that’s a safety hazard. All of my paychecks had errors and was short. This place is so unorganized that it’s saddening. The computers are old. How can you take care of a patient and you have to look for glucometer machines and bp machines on the floor because everyone hides them. Sonia is a horrible manager she’s use to staff coming and going so she barely put forth the effort to try and make some needed changes. This place is terrible. I couldn’t believe when I seen a Pct putting fluids through a patient IV. That’s the nurses job now if anything would have went wrong then what? A staff member car was stolen early morning right in the parking lot in front of hospital with security there. Like how did this happen. There is no safety. Working here is like a nursing home. It’s nasty and everything is old and the staff is the same. This place need to be closed because mount sinai haven’t done much to help this place is disgusting, ghetto and horrible. If I could give zero stars I would. I wouldn’t bring a mouse here.

What a joke of a hospital. i called from another state to find out about a family member in the ER and the worker there was a complete unprofessional joke. She was rude on the phone, had no sympathy, didnt seem to care about what was being asked, couldnt even provide a phone to the patients room to speak to them since of HIPPA LAW. she kept hanging up on me when asked to speak to the department manager and when i called back she kept refusing the call so i could not get any information. i dont know how a patient is being discharged in less than an hour of being brought in thru ambulance from a seizure.

Call the hospital and ask for administration. They are there in the morning Monday thru Friday.

It could be your Cycle is changing this happens all the time. Depending on your age it could be the start of menopause it could be a number of things. Go see a OB GYN

Angel is right... DO NOT HAVE YOUR PRECIOUS BABIES AT THIS TERRIFYING HOSPITAL!!! This place should be shut down, and I just can't wrap my head around the fact that this place is still operating!!! Please please PRETTY PLEASE don't put yourself, and/or your loved ones, especially babies, through the medieval-like treatment that they "provide" there!!!
Yes I would suggest going over to University Of Chicago tho on 57th and Cottage Grove they have a bigger and newer improved Emergency room.
