Usually a decent experience here you can tell it’s a bit underfunded, but went there on a Wednesday and they were closed kinda waste of a couple of hours.

Google has this location listed as a DMV near me. It is a Missouri Driver Examination Office. NOT A DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES. I wasted time and gas money.
sea of roses
They are now doing driving tests on a first come first serve basis. I arrived before noon, and was told they had no more spots for the drivers test. You can’t make appointments either. So it’s a guessing game. If all you need is the written test, this might work for you

I am another person who's going to comment on the bundle of sunshine that works there. I called to ask about the process of my 17yr old son taking his test. The lady answered the phone with that annoyed voice like you've just ruined whatever she was doing. I asked a simple question "My son needs to take his driving exam and I need to know the process. Do I need to book an appointment, and how much is the cost?". She just replied "You need to call the DMV! We only do testing here!", to which I asked "Tests on the computers?", She said "Yes!". I hung up and called the DMV, but you can't speak to someone there as it's all just FAQs. Anyway, I called the testing center again, and Ms Happy answered again, with the same annoyed voice, and I said "Hi, I just spoke to you about 5 minutes ago. My son does have his permit and needs to take his driving exam, test, so what is the process?", "He just needs his Permit!", "What do you mean? I told you he has his permit, what are you saying?", Then with a sigh she said "Let me get you my supervisor!". There was the sound of the phone being passed from one hand to another. Then, Hallelujah, an efficient voice came on the phone. I said "Sir, I do not understand why that lady was deliberately difficult and unhelpful. I had a simple question 'Are you a testing facility?"", and he said "Yes!", "So why couldn't that lady just say that and help me". The Supervisor was very helpful and clearly explained the whole process in 30 seconds. I appreciate that. My closing comment "You might want to speak to her to stop being so miserable and actually help people". He said goodbye. Unfortunately, even though that supervisor was very helpful, I will not be subjecting my son to this facility just in case he ends up being tested by Ms Misery! With all of the reviews I read I cannot understand why she is still employed, there must be some "tenure" or some other kind of "job for life" deal going on. Sheesh!

It is not shortened...the process takes longer. You go into the building to register, then you have to wait outside in designated area for the examiner to call your name to take the driving portion of the test. It took 4 hours for my student to take her driving test. And also it depends on the day that you go as well.
Yes the first part is a written test then you do the actual driving test
Do you have to make an appointment?
A piece of mail and birth certificate. But they will have a copy of your old on file and can easily verify your identity.
I cant confirm that, but because you have a learner's permit from the states, you may need to take the driver's exam. However, as long as you have a current license from another country you can drive here

Instruction Permit Eligible Age: 15 Cost: $3.50 Valid for: 0-12 Months To Obtain: You must pass the vision, road sign recognition, and written tests at a Missouri State Highway Patrol driver examination station. A qualified person must accompany you to the license office to sign a permission statement.
Go back to driving test office explain your predicament and request to be given another passing exam receipt to take to DMV.
The written test stops at 4:30pm and the drivers test stops around 5:25pm. Hope this helps.
Once you have your learners permit just prepare for the driving exam
