Why is this desk closed 5 hours a day?

My flight has been delayed and delayed and delayed. I've lost a full day of work and multiple clients due to "the crew" The only reason for delay is apparently "the crew" I have no idea what that means exactly but don't find it a sufficient reason. Hire better or have a more efficient process to insure a competent crew ready and available.

Covid policy is to not fill the middle seats. Alaska put profit above their own policy and government mandates. Im on an oversold flight with half the middle seats full. Also their operations team didn't show up to de-ice planes today and our plane has ice on it. One hour for them to come to work and get the equipment out while we wait on plane. Poor business management decisions for customer safety, and a poor operations team
