Always wonderful and relaxing! Great food, saunas, and pools!

Relaxing. The happiest place on earth
Ugii Dogii
I love this sauna. Coming from another state. The price of the service is increasing with each visit. I would like to complain about the food. This is not Korean food. Expensive. The taste is bad. The number of small salads that accompany Korean food has decreased. Wish it had the same taste as the price! Please pay special attention to the buffet food in the future! Thank you

I went with my wife, and we became regulars after our first experience. The place made us feel so relaxed, to the point that we were able to reset our bodies for the coming week. I highly recommend to visit this place if you're looking for something affordable when it comes as a place to visit when touring Chicago, but remember to know the rules and amenities before entering. If a person comes in for the first time, then the experience can be different if that individual knows what they can do or not.

Go next door to the H-Mart and you can buy passes from the service desk for $20 (cash only) [Update: now $22...guess too many people have read this post]. Still only buys entrance and you'll have to pay for food, services, etc., but at least you saved $15/person.
If you use their E-Coupon from their website it is $21 per person. But if you go next door to H-Mart, you can get a day pass for $20 from the customer service desk, but you can only get it if you pay in cash.
You must be nude in the wet spas + sauna, which are separated by gender. You are clothed in the dry saunas which are co-ed. You can skip the wet spas if nudity isn't your thing
The mud room and the salt room are okay they are low temperature rooms
Would be best to give them a call to make sure.
Get the 27$ coupon online. It includes the base rock room for 2$ I believe. If you dont the base rock room is 5$ extra after paying at the front desk. You'll recieve a watch type bracelet with a key for your locker. Any additional charges from inside like food or massages will accrue on your account to be paid when you go to leave and return your bracelet and locker key.
Since 1/1/2019 their policy is Kids over 10 years old only. We were able to get a one-time exception for our 8 year old. Took some negotiating though
I would not. For common area they provide a sort of oversized pj. And for the same sex area ( steam room, showers and hot tubs) i am pretty sure they forbid it. You can always wrap yourself up with a number of their tiny towels though.
Yes, I've been able to bring a refillable water bottle many times, and it's really helpful!
Yes , unfortunately sometimes there are kids there that dont dont know how to act.
Think gym. Take things you'd bring to the gym. Bring a magazine or book if you'd like to read in the quiet spaces. Tote. Any special toiletries or personal grooming items.
The restaurant open from 6am until midnight. You can sleep there for additional $10 per night.
Yes, the rest is in clothes besides for the massage
All of their current prices are listed on their website. If the cash vouchers have not run out, you can go to the Service Desk inside H-Mart next door and using only cash can get an entry pass for only $22 (cash only) which is cheaper than paying full price ($40) at the door. If there are cheaper promos going on, definately take advantage. Your savings of $18 will help offset the cost of food by majority or all. Drinks are outrageously priced in there but the food is very generously portioned so luckily its not a ripoff. If you purchase a service of a higher price-point ($100 or more I believe) you will get a free entry voucher tgat you can use up to 1 month later. So there is a good value in that, even if you just go for food and to sit in the pools and saunas.
Yes.
There are men-only sauna and women-only area. You will need to wear the shorts and tshirt provided to go to the public (mixed gender) areas, such as hot rooms, movie theater and food court.
It is separated by gender, even kids. Unless infant
Anywhere ma'am the rooms are self explanatory they have instructions on the effects of the auras also they all speak English I've been there several times
Your next admission is free within 30 days.
Yeah absolutely
If you want to enjoy the pools, then you have to resolve yourself to being naked. It is intimidating in theory, but once you get there, you'll realize it's not a supermodel convention and probably get over it. Or you can just put on the spa outfit and run out of the locker room. But the pools are so relaxing and worth getting over your inhibitions for.
Free Wifi
Body scrub (this was not set up very private) side space separated by curtain in locker room area. Massage (whole body or just specific area) Steamer
They are allowed. However, please make sure they will be quiet in the sauna rooms. If they can't, there is an area for them to play board games or with their iPad.
Sometimes only on specific days and depends for how long the coupon has been expired. Management is not what it used to be .
It gets you access to everything except the base rock room. That's an extra $5. It's a nice room where the floor is heated stones.
They do not allow outside towel or blankets...they will provide towels..you can also purchase wash towels/mitts for about $3-$5 ea
The pool is closed between 2-5am and i dont think their food service is even open during that time but you can stay there
Check their website for services. Also, they have videos on YouTube so you can explore the spa.
You pay for admission in spa : all saunas and jacuzzi , swimming pool, cinema room, meditation room included For Massages and restaurant you pay separately
No discounts on extra services, but if you do purchase a “premium” service once inside you get a bounce back coupon for free entry with a 30-day expiration date.
Mofokah that place ain't for you then... Someone will slap you wood away... Man them Koreanz knows KungFu mixed with Wutang be careful now
Yes
Yep! I went in and managed just fine with mine.
If you go to the Niles rec center you need to wear a suitif you go to King spa you must go nude in the pools but wear shorts and a t-shirt that they supply in the common areas
Wear a mask at all times
The only nude places are when u change clothes right at entry. Or the bath house area. I took pictures there but just to post them up not 2b creeping that's just gross. Also when the guy saw i was taking pics of the area he said I couldn't in that area, but I didn't kno... so I just stopped. Everything was fine, covid doesn't change anything besides mask mandate.
No. u can sleep anywhere u want but Google says 24 hrs but the last time I went they close at 1 am true and they be doing for a while now so call them.
Yes its available
I never have.. the gal i had both times was Anna, and she's AMAZING, but i did not choose. When you make your appointment they give you a buzzer like at a restaurant. They can be quite busy, depending on the time of day. AWESOME place, though!!
Yes
I was there last week and they were open!
Yes the pools are open and the kiln rooms are open, only the steam rooms are closed right now.
Yes most stores are open
Very very clean and relaxing place. A place that is family friendly. A place you can spend your whole day (and overnight).
Base rock room is basically heated stone slabs. One side is 130f and the other is 140f I believe. The only thing not coed is the locker room.
There's a website for that. http://www.kingspa.com/chicago/price.html
Yes. It is very first one with five pools with the different temperature.
No, you're not allowed to bring your own bathing suit. It's nude only on the separate women's and mens side. I had actually asked the same question before I went.
They do, if you pay cash, have passes, but I think they are $25? No additional purchase necessary.
No swimming pool, just two hot jacuzzis and a cold pool not big enuff for swimming
Once you pay the entry fee you don't have to pay again unless you want to eat or to get a massage.
The waterpark ruined the one in dallas. Freaking wall to wall kids.
The grocery store H Mart is probably your best option if you want to keep it authentic.
After you pay admission fee go to the men or Women's side and schedule a time for massage.
The prize is by how many minutes. Call to ask them I paid 120 for 60 min
It is open 24 hours and that would be a nice relaxing way to spend your time. I would call to inquire if you large luggage, their lockers are like a regular gym and not large enough for luggage but perhaps they have something else that might accomodate larger belongings.
I think 1st time visitors should be aware that they will be nude in the shower area.
Good question, all I noticed was the Smell of standing in front of a window air conditioner. Hmm
And they have a separate shoe locker that your locker key will work in.
You can be in there for 24 hrs. After 1:45am, they charge an additional $10 overnight fee to you.
They will let you go to your car and back
If I owned the place, no charge. I don't own it. Call ahead. Not a great place for wheelchairs, but could be worse.
The pools and wet sauna in the locker room is nude, but they give you shorts and a shirt for the dry saunas in the common area. You can also skip the pools and wet sauna in the locker room if you're not comfortable with the nudity.
Probably best to call and see if they are open
Both. And are very busy.
Only in gender specific steam room / showers, common area you wear their uniform
Yes they are open. However call them for confirmation if needed.
Sorry if this doesn't translate correctly: You don't have to make an appointment. You can sign up for treatments after entering. You don't have to make an appointment. You can sign up for treatments after entering.
It's about $50-$150, depending on the kind of massage you want and the duration of the massage.
Children 2 - 12 are $30, but you should get there online coupon for everyone, which lowers the price to $23.
I guess you have to read rules and regulations
No
Yes
Yes.
22 is pretty cheap, good deal. I like the 23 dollar deal on Groupon that includes base rock room. You can use cash, credit, debit, or a Groupon. On the way out you pay for your tab if purchases you made inside.
Because the pools are naked time
They provide you with the equivalent of oversized scrub pants and an oversized t shirt. This is for the common area mind you. When you are in the mens area with the shower and hot tubs, you are buck naked. They may not allow clothes there.
No. Everybody is naked
you can bring a laptop to use in the common area
It tolerated outside. You can go and come back if u only take 5 min or so
Sort of. There a many places to sleep, some of which are dark. The Infrared or Oxygen rooms are options, as is this sort of nap room upstairs. It has recliners that are laid out flat for sleeping. It's also kept pretty warm so you don't need a blanket.
It's not any more slippery than a typical pool. They have a lot of rubber matts to help with that. I've never seen anyone slip in the 5 times I've been.
I do not think so, but, there are services for women in the area of women, and services for men as well, in the area of men. Also, I think they offer foot massages in the mixed area.
Yes the have all sizes including plus
It's busier on weekends and holidays, but can't say about MLK Day in particular
No sorry
I wouldn't... you have to sleep on cots under lights, with thin blankets, pay an extra $10, and the services almost all shut down. I don't recommend it
They offer massages for an extra charge.
They provide everyone with matching jammies. Girls wear this atrotious pink and men an elephant grey. Its long baja shorts and a nurses shirt basically. And you ahve to wear them and nothing else. In the bathing area you have to wear a hairtie.
