Since 2006 I have been dealing with mental health issues, in 2008 got the help I needed with positive results. Best place in utah!@@@especially Lee Bradshaw

I expected improvement with my mental health when seeing a psychiatrist, but instead it was made worse. I met with my psychiatrist one time, a few months ago, and was prescribed a medication that we were going to re-evaluate at our next meeting, after a month of taking it to see how it was working. That was the last time I met with my psychiatrist because they went out of office for 4+ months and wouldn't be able to meet with me. (which didn't help my anxiety or abandonment issues, only increasing the problem). I received one call from one of her nurses to reschedule my appointment that we made after one month but that is the last form of communication I've had with them. I recently called McKay-Dee outpatient to meet with an on call psychiatrist to change my medication because I felt as though it wasn't working and I needed a change asap and I couldn't wait any longer. I drove an hour for this emergency meeting to help my mental health but could not find the building so I called them to get directions and let them know I would be a little late but they turned me away for being 12 minutes late. They rescheduled me for another month away, but I was requesting help now, not a month from now. In my years of working with behavioral health, this would be considered neglect for turning away a patient that is asking for immediate help, not to mention the months of neglect from the psychiatrist leaving the office. It is sad to say I am not the only one that has gone through a traumatic experience like this with McKay-Dee Behavior Health Outpatient. My family members have also dealt with issues like this with this business and have changed psychiatrists, which I will be doing as well. I do hope this company can fix their professional problems so they can start helping people with their mental health instead of hurting it.

The only downfall is it takes forever to get in as a new patient. But once you are established it is great and they are easy to work with.
