Croocks. They offered a broken Kangxi vase for sale for $3000 and when I discovered and withdrew my bid they claimed I "reneged" on the deal.
Numerous attempts to clear up the matter by email and by recorded long distance phone calls only produced arrogant confirmation that this is their "policy"(!). Avoid.

Their level of professionalism is, in my experience, incomparable.
Call Christie's and they will connect you to the right department. Then, they will ask you the proper questions to see if your painting can be included in one of their auctions.
I agree with Brian on the tech of it all. Christie's will be able to take an initial peek with any quality image. Final pics and evaluations follow so your pic really just needs to get you in the door. In our direct experience with Christie's we found them to be expert and very helpful in brining it all together. Detailed pics of specific damage from your smart phone might be helpful also. It's all good. Your mirror sounds special. Then this could be a lot of fun for you. Good luck.
Yes, but you need to identify the correct auction for your beautiful photographs and have Christie's help you place a value on this work. Christie's welcomes inquiries about newly found photographic treasures and can best help you going forward. Contact them directly. Best of luck.
I have a fountain pen and letter head that my late father got from the Royal Train when it arrived in Washington, D.C. in 1939. My dad was a fifteen year old bicycle messenger for Western Union who had to make a delivery there

I think their website explains " selling". Pictures help. An accurate description and provenance of the item. An estimated value. All these I an email might get a response of the item has merit. But they have high minimums below which they cannot take.
