After my husband passed away I assume they got word of his passing through Medicare and suddenly I got a bill that was supposedly from January and February that I never received a bill for at that time. This was for his cpap supplies. There were no late payment fees on the first bill I received a month after he died but four weeks later there was a ten dollar late fee. He was never charged for his cpap supplies in the past his Medicare and supplement took care of it. I paid it to avoid hassle but I feel they just wanted to get the last drop of money they could after he died. I would not recommend them.

Short version - the service received from CHM, in my opinion, is the worst that I have ever encountered, from any business, anywhere, full stop. Shop elsewhere. A relative purchased an ultralight wheelchair from CHM (which cost a few thousand $). Although the service was initially impressive, a few serious issues appeared shortly after purchase. The customer service exchange swiftly turned hostile, to the point that the company was legitimately uncomfortable to deal with. On several occasions, I was so incredulous with CHM’s responses that I could not reply. When an agreement was finally reached, repairs were made on the wheelchair, but done incorrectly, and to a less-than-professional standard of work. (Parts were missing after the repair, etc.) When we pointed this out to them, complete with photographs of the chair before repair, the district manager told us, and I quote, “you will not tell us what we need to do”. My relative and I were literally in tears at the end of this interaction. It is my opinion that the staff at CHM lacks compassion, empathy, and a human interest in their clients. Once they were required to step up the the plate and rectify an issue, everything all of a sudden was about policy and money. While this may be fine for some businesses, I feel that it is unacceptable when we are talking about a multi-thousand-dollar device that is someone’s exclusive means of mobility. While venting about our experience to others, it became evident that we are far from the only ones to feel this way. It would be really nice to see CHM get its act together. They’re conveniently located, have a good selection of products, and do have some good people working for them. But if we are looking to make a large purchase, or one that requires sound after-sale service, we will absolutely look elsewhere. It’s telling that one of their managers posted a 5-star review of their own business.

i recently moved to Maryland and needed copies of my records to get established with a new doctor for my sleep apnea. Carolina Medical provided me outstanding service in NC. I called them and spoke with Katie Brewer and requested copies of my records. Within 5 minutes my notes were in my email inbox. No runaround, delays, or dependence on mail. Outstandimg service is becoming harder and harder to find. Thank you Katie for a job well done.
