Overbearing campground hosts have been allowed to stay here to long..( other reviews share the same opinion) Ridiculous, unwarranted check-in process . Blame lies not only with the hosts, but with the Croatan National Forest Superintendent, who has allowed it to happen.. Same problem at Oyster Point C.G,, but there the campground hosts have done little and made it their lifetime home. Both are neat little campgroundsn that need problem management

After staying at Cedar Point for 2 weeks, we cancelled our stay at Flanners, after hearing about the rude current camp host from previous camp host's and previous campers! Hopefully they will be replaced and we will try again next year!

****Please take time to read**** If I could rate this area and give it a ZERO star I would. The management who’s in charge of the area was extremely rude to me and my family. This was my first time coming here and the old man who runs the area got fussy with us once driving up to the gate, he told us we were breaking the rules and how we had one more warning before calling the cops on us. I didn’t understand the reason for him to act this way which made me extremely confused. I’m not sure if he was having a bad day but as a person who works in the service industry it’s not good letting out frustration on any payable guests. Moving forward, I didn’t feel comfortable staying here and didn’t like how there was no beach access. On the positive note, the people who stayed here were nice, management was our biggest issue.

Very nice place to camp , to bad the hosts are very rude The host guy came out of nowhere and yell at us about the rules , telling us he was going to kick us out , Our dog bark at something little after 10:00 pm for like 2 min , our dog calm down but he still came looking for our barking dog , he found us and we got yell at, I have never been treated like that he is a bully , we didn’t enjoy our stay , we were scare he would come back and kick us out. It was a horrible experience. They need new management

Closed for camping maybe but their is still plenty to see and so there.
$22 for reserved $17 on walk up
Not yet and won't be for awhile. The bank collapsed during a storm.
I stayed there about 2 weeks ago. There's electric at the site, but no water or sewer. Freshwater and a dump site are just outside the gate to the campground. Also, there's a posted 14-day stay limit. So probably no monthly rates.
Everything is free except the rv camping area.
The dumpsters at the front of the gate and there's water spigots throughout the camp grounds
No WiFi.Most federal campgrounds don't have Wifi.
My family and I went there last weekend, and, as Mr. Overby stated, you cannot access the beach, which was a HUGE let down.
Yes you can plug for camper and another plug for smaller appliances
Just electric hookup. There are a few water outlets, one in front of site 27 but they are all very slow. Fill up before you unhook. Beach access is closed
Yes they have a shower/ restroom...and electric hook-ups
Yes they have electric but no water and the beach access is closed u cant get to the water at all but they do have a place to get some water just not on sites
None of the sites have water connections. There are 3 or 4 spigots scattered around for filling tanks/jugs.
Not yet I heard October
No they are closed due to damage from hurricane Florence
Yes
Here is a listing with warnings https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/nfsnc/recarea/?recid=48472
Yes you can but in that specific area the best way to do it is with a crabpot. You'll see the crabpot buoys out in the water.
Still closed today, 27APR2019. What a let down. No signage or anything saying for how long.
Yes, 20-35 depending on what size rv. Although the campground is closed at the moment. They are still recovering from the hurricane. https://www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/234718
Haven't been personally yet but I heard they were open
It should be but not sure
I'm not sure, to be honest.
Closed as far as I know
I read it was still closed, i would check again now https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/nfsnc/news-events/?cid=FSEPRD597737
Yes. They have awesome places and perfect places to have any kind of party
And with the exception of one power crazed volunteer who treats people poorly,it is such a great place to visit
With a license...it is allowed during daylight hours.
