Clerk said I was getting a new car. It was supposed to be a small SUV but it ended up being a Camry. That's a sedan, fyi. It was fine as it was just me. But the car had tens of thousands of miles and was super dinged up NOT new. It smelled weird, too. It's rare that my own cars are better than a rental but whatever. I know cars are in short supply these days. There was a huge backup for returning the cars so they were kind of just parked at the entrance. The lady taking us to the airport had been sitting in the car for 20-30 minutes. A few minutes after 5am she got out and made a big deal of us waiting while she sprayed out the van. This is while I'm stressing about my 6:30am flight. Well she ended up being nice overall and I made my flight (barely as it was boarding), but that was the airport, not her. And I was grateful for the ride. The clerk was nice overall but I felt a little swindled by the way he tried to shove the "extras" down my throat. "Which insurance do you want?" instead of "Do you want to include insurance?" Telling me there wouldn't be any marks on the car since it only had 500 miles on it. It was all around too pushy. All about him/the company and not about me, the customer. And the end cost was over twice the quoted price of the car. What's up with all of those fees? Just sayin. I'd rather pay more in the future for better customer care.

Not so good...

Good service. Got the car quick as I prebook with europcar

The line was LONG. The wait after getting through the line was LONG. Then another person and I were assigned the same car (they fixed that rather quickly, but still). I thought I had a great deal on a car, just to find out they have a lot of hidden costs that they tag on there. When my car was broken into downtown I brought thevehicle back to their location. They would not assist me with ANYTHING on the forms b/c the insurance I had was not through them (which was the same price for 1 day what I paid for the week and was the same coverage) but through the travel company I used to book the car. They had us wait 2 hours as I tried to fill out paperwork to tell us they didn't have a car for us, and to come back in the morning. Mind you we had a broken out window... They were very speedy the next morning getting us a car. Now I am jumping through hoops to play middle man for the insurance and Fox Rent a Car b/c NO ONE is there to talk to at Fox Rent a Car over the phone....

Typical but you will be happy when you get your car.
2 hours waiting time is normal I guess. Next time, whatever I do, check online review first. Lesson learned. Sorry, not an answer to this Q. :(
There is a shuttle that goes back and forth between the airport and the agency. I didn't have to wait every time.
Just don't rent from these jokers.
To add on to the above, you cannot just pay with cash. You need a credit card (not a debit card) to put down for the deposit. Also to note, you cannot split the reservation between two credit cards. If you make the reservation payment with a credit card, the same credit card must be used for the security deposit.
I believe is through out the day, I picked up car this week past 10pm. Both times I didn't even have to wait for the shuttle.
Serious business, good price
Nope they have a shuttle. Honestly it's a pain in the butt spend a little extra and go with one who is part of the airport skytrain line
Take the air tram to the car rental center. Take the elevator to level one. Go outside to your left and cross the street partially to get to the island (labeled Island 2 even though it's the only actual island). There are two benches with a phone between them. If a Fox shuttle isn't already there, use the phone to dial a single digit corresponding to the Fox Rental logo. It will connect you directly to them and they will send a shuttle.
It is 2 to 3 full days drive from SFO to Yellowstone.
No & stay away from this rental company.
Yes, right outside the rental center is the pickup
Yes you can! They don't check on miles. However if you gonna drop the car at UT they may charge u a fee
A rental agent told me that the spouse is covered if they're both listed on the same policy back home.
I believe they will ask for a deposit
Speaking from my experience, service isn't what Fox is known for so if I were you, I would reach out to them to get it sorted out
Take my advice. Choose ANOTHER car rental place. There are alot of hidden fees and tricks. The cars are NOT even efficient. I never got a call back or refund.
Fox is at the SFO car rental center. Take the air train (free) to the rental car center. Fox is on the 1st floor.
They (Fox) will never get to this message on time, and if you call on the phone you will have to wait for a very long time and they may not be able to address your request. You just need to go back to where you picked up the car and they might be able to help you. Good luck.
Low bidder can make you so busy staffing gets to be a problem!
I don't know if you can make an appointment for them to call you. You might try calling again during business hours.
$500 for compact - midsize. Anything bigger than that is $1000
Go to the desk during non peak hours.
No if you pay a small fee
Be there two hours before you want to leave, this is the worst rental office in the world
Claim your phone insurance and save time and energy
