You need to call and speak to your judge's office to verify that there isn't a specific day that they recall bench warrants and then either go to court on the day they tell you or go to court the very next business day. Missing a court date means you do have a bench warrant and you will need to get that recalled.

Go to the second floor criminal records or third floor civil records and ask what court they are assigned to.
Because of the ruling from the Louisiana Supreme Court, all trials are being continued until the problem is fixed. With that being said, call jury management, and they will advise you.
Your best bet will be getting there early, especially on the first day. The heaviest traffic is always on the first day. About an hour early gives you your pick of parking.
There should be a parking slip on the bottom of your summons. If you want to park at a meter, remove that from your summons and put it on the dash of your vehicle. Any meter you can legally park at is covered by that slip.
However, you can also park in both of the River Center garages. Pull a ticket in the garage and bring that with you to your jury duty to get it validated.

Me and my wife been separated for over a year. I never filed papers for separation and she's moved out of the state. Should I file for divorce and separation papers first?

Yes you can, just turn off or on silent while in court
You can call 225.389.4700 to speak to the information desk on the first floor. They will then be able to transfer you to your judge's office.
Alternatively, you can go to www.19thjdc.org/judges.html and select your judge to see their office number.
Occasionally some trials are extended to weekend days, but that is at the discretion of the Judge over that trial. The courthouse is open to the public Monday through Friday.
