I don’t think they have one person working at the PA. Unemployment office that knows what they’re doing. I have called and talked to three separate people regarding my unemployment compensation and not a one of them helped me. I filed over 3 MONTHS (yes months) ago and not one person ever called or emailed me to let me know the status of my claim😡I still have not received a dime. Good luck getting getting unemployment compensation from them. Worthless😡🤬🤬

Just a question. WHY IS YOUR NUMBER DISCONNECTED EVERYDAY?! how are people supposed to get ahold of anyone in this building? Place is worthless and has no desire to do their jobs period.......

Same here and I can't get ahold of anyone and I've sent over 50 emails no response
Did you went to the office. Is it open
How do you clear the issue
Does going to the office get answers or is it just pretty much a wait and see game while bills pile up? Filed end of May, no weekly rate, no 600, not a penny.
I want to know how i can get a weekly copy of all moneys taken off my wages. The company i work for doesn' t five us our withholding statement
I'm sorry is this message to me?
Same problem
I filed a fraud case back in June and was told it was taken care of. I received a 1099-G for the full amount too! I can't get a hold of anyone. I have a fraud case #, frustrating!
No but they answered email in 1 week. I also called the state rep who will answer and even call back.
There is no free parking in Harrisburg during buissness hours all the way until 7 PM
May 30th the current 40 year old UC system will be taken offline. A full list of workshops dates in English and Spanish .Workshops and related recordings information on the email that was sent to everyone emails . Far as still waiting I do not know why checks are being delayed in the past I had the same issue.
Me to
It’s been 4 months since I applied and until yet no response, idk why it’s taking them 4 months or more to come up with a determination of my cause of separation with my job.
They are not open to the public. Wasted trip. Called 64 times till I got an answer.
I feel ya pain brotha😭

No... there are police stationed in the lobby. If you have direct business with someone at L&I, they will call that person to the lobby. Also, there is a drop- box for delivering documents.
There are thousands of people waiting... the demand for UC during the pandemic was unprecedented. The claims backlog is still extreme. This is no one's fault... staffing is set up for normal operation so it was impossible for UC to keep up with demand. It will take a couple years till the backlogs are completely eradicated...
The labor and Industry building is not open to the public. There are people working there in the building but alot of staff are teleworking also. It depends on the Bureau.
File a complaint w the US dol or the pa bureau of labor law compliance. Get the number claim filing on the net.
No the office is not open
Yes, they can
I would say most likely no because most state departments are working from home.
You can go to building they have dark colored mail box fill out forms and let in box.
Im still waiting. Im number 444, 600..i called back in oct after my appeal was won & had over payments reversed. Now i need to get them to backdate my claim to last work day feb/march 2020. Which should automatically been done. Been asking them to do that since i filed in aug. Instead i got a deniwd in june 2021. ! All because i was trying to get backdate to the date it was supposed to be. Instead of helping me. They denied me i had to do a hearing and everything. Thank goodness the referee looked at all my documents and actually spoke with me. And agreed. I was entitled to recieve pua etc. Now i am trying to get 24 weeks that i am supposed to ve eligible for but i cant self certify without them sending me a link to do so. I can only imagine the fight im going to have to endure to get them to do that. Its very stressful. And complicated. When it doesnt need to be. I thought they were there to help us not hinder us and shame us.
Absolutely not
Theyre revamping the system to make it easier for you to understand ask questions and filing they will open the site June 3rd if you go to the site there is alot of information to read
Not really you have to call first before going to one of the offices
Far as I know they are updating. It's hard to contact them even if you email them
Unfortunately, the answer is NO! I went through the same thing making call after call and always getting a busy signal. I emailed too but didn't hear anything. So, I called the PA dept.of labor and industry and spoke to a real person. More bad news! They have no one there who oversees the PUA program. So,, back to square one. But I'm not giving up!
No! If you're not essential personal!
They just brought 9p more employees to handle the load of claims.
You might need to reapply for UC
Not sure, we only received 1 check since March. Emailed no answer. Got through on phone but didn't really help. Harrisburg office closed since March. Didn't realize until we drove there. Keep trying phone number. May take days with constant dialing.
It all depends when you filed. You have to wait 4 to 6 weeks. Try to call earlier on Thursday and Friday mornings at the normal phone number especially. I had to wait 1 hour once the phone line stopped being busy and I got through as I've been waiting since April 2020 for my benefits and to finally talk with someone live . This lady seen all the confusion and she assisted me ever since then and it helped me and my process. Also if you got to you're local Unemployment office there is a drop box to put a letter or inside the box is a form to fill out requesting a all back. I got one within weeks time business days that is. Hope this helps.
No, not to the public.

L&I is currently closed to the general public. You can chat with someone on their website.
It's supposed to be file online Sunday, get by Tues or Weds but from what I'm hearing, people who have been filing biweekly since May are just starting to get lump sums
