Do not take your children here. My infant had a seizure from a fever, and I came in crying with my baby terrified for him, and we didn’t get seen for a long time. We were told it was a virus and to alternate medicine to keep his fever down and sent us home. Later that night we couldn’t keep his fever down and something just wasn’t right. We went back, and we waited 4 hours before we got seen. I explained everything and I was treated like I was over reacting. Again I was told it was a virus and to go home. I asked if we could do labs to make sure it was nothing bacterial that he would need antibiotics for, and the doctor said no it wasn’t necessary. Well, I trusted my gut and took him to his doctor the next day, and they did labs and sure enough he had an infection that needed treatment with antibiotics. The doctor said had I not trusted my inactive my baby would’ve likely been hospitalized eventually. The doctors here need to trust parents when they know something is off with their children. I will be doing why I can to file a complaint with this hospital, we trust hospitals to help out children, but it was very much obvious they wants to get us out of there.

I have never had such horrible service! I came in with my son running a 105.1 fever. We have been waiting 3 hrs and no one has come out. Birders are in the back on their cell phones just hanging out while the waiting room is full of sick kids! When I asked how much longer it would be they said it could be another 3-5 hrs and that I just needed to sit tight! It is 12:15 am and that is another 3-5 hrs to that before I even get out into a room to be seen. This is suppose to be the best childrens hospital in Charlotte it’s an absolute joke! And the worst service in the world for a CHILDRENS emergency hospital! DO NOT COME HERE, unless you want to waste an entire night in a hospital that they don’t care about how sick your child is!

Do not take your children here!!! I arrived and my 8 month old daughter had a 102 fever!!! She wasn’t priority instead they gave her some meds on top of what I had already given. After almost two hours I had to ask them to recheck her and she still had a fever and she still wasn’t priority. I kept asking if it was going to take several hours because I would go else where because an infant with a fever that high is dangerous and they kept reassuring me that I would be seen next. This place is a JOKE. Unorganized mess. The absolute WORST medical experience I have ever had i my life!!
