My wait time was very minimal. The staff treated me with kid gloves. Atrium Mercy is the ONLY ER I attend. The staff is professional, caring and attentive to my needs. Blessings, Tanya Younge

This ER visit was a horrible experience. After being triaged I sat in a chair in the hallway for at least 4 hours in pain. Moaning, rocking and groaning I couldn’t get one Tylenol to take the edge off. I heard another woman waiting ask a nurse that was passing by for a blanket. The nurse replied she didn’t know where the blankets were and kept walking. Once I finally got a room the little girl nurse that walked me to the room opened the door and walked away. The mattress was barely covered with a sheet and the plastic pillow had no pillowcase. Once my nurse and doctor came things got a little better. Both were nice but no one ever asked me what meds I was on or if I was allergic to anything and I had to complain of cramping suggesting I might be dehydrated to get liquids. Long story short I was there 7 1/2 hours. I got home and first waited a few hours to hear from the pharmacy, only to find out the prescriptions were sent to a Walgreens I have never used, could not have been in my records, and is closed on Sundays. I called my Walgreens and got them to pull the prescriptions only to find what was prescribed is in the family of a medicine I am allergic to. Once I got that resolved I realized the paperwork did not note anything about returning to work so I called the ER back. The person I spoke to agreed to give me a note and hung up on me so I had to call back to find out how to get the note. Apparently email or fax is not an option because I was told I had to drive back to the ER to pick it up - today. Coming from NYC where I’ve been to Harlem trauma ERs, I have never in my entire live witnessed such indifferece and down right lack of consideration/compassion from people in the medical community, particularly the nurses. Overall a horrible experience I’m surprised I survived.

The wait time on sunday July 11 2022 was 4.5 hours. That's a long time to wait to see a doctor but the doctor was super nice and caring. The nurse was really nice too.

Went in at 11 came out at 2pm. My girl is pregnant she came to get checked for a headache and chest pain. We waited a hour everytime for every step. And the crazy part is the medicine prescribed to her wasnt good for use while pregnant … the discharge papers didnt even add up to what she told the doctor and when her blood was taken she was told everything was “fine” but my girl went on the atrium app and it showed multiple errors…
