I don't like dealing with them anymore than I have to. 50 bucks to pick up and deliver your equipment each way. Total grift. So if you have a trailer take it there yourself and save money.

I purchased a brand-new John Deere S100 roughly five months ago. The purchase was made at a Lowes store. With only 4.5 hours on the mower a deck belt snapped. After calling Lowes I was directed to AG-Pro. During my first conversation I was told based on low use the part would be replaced and mower inspected for any factory defects. I distinctly asked what the cost for everything would be and was told it would be nothing. This made sense given the cost of the new mower and limited use. I was given a pickup time from 8:00am-12:00pm and was told I would receive a call prior to pick up. By 12:00pm on the selected day I had not been given a call, so I reached out. I was told the driver had run behind and would be picking up shortly. As 2:00pm arrived I still had not received a call, so I followed up. The mower was already picked up I was told. It is slightly concerning that communication throughout this process was neglected, but I was able to shrug it off. The mechanics at AG-Pro were quick to review the mower and I was told that everything looked good. It was during this explanation I was asked about the terrain of my yard and if any sharp objects or branches were mowed over. None of that has ever occurred as again this was an expensive purchase and clearing the yard of debris prior to moving is always executed diligently. At this point it was mentioned that this could be a case of a faulty belt, the only rational explanation of the malfunction. I could accept this based on the replacement of the part and inspection done. It was the next part that I would rather not accept I was told the bill was $108.00. This was for the pick up and delivery of my mower. At no point prior to my mower being picked up was this ever mentioned. I do not like the idea of a company telling me there is no associated cost of service, then once my equipment is held by them there is a cost necessary to receive my equipment back. Throughout this entire process I spoke with one employee, they were very friendly and helped to the best of their ability. They did note that they misspoke and had mentioned everything would be covered but due to their mistake pick up and delivery was not considered initially. Apologizes and admissions of fault were made. I do not blame honest mistakes, but that mistake led me to my decision to have the mower worked on by AG-Pro. I also, do not believe the customer should pay for the mistakes of the company. If I had known the cost, I would have bought the part myself for $38.00 and replaced it. I am very disappointed with both John Deere for the faulty part and AG-Pro for this experience. I was also no called prior to the mower being deliver which I was told I would, and the trailer used to deliver the mower scratched our driveway. All in all, a very poor experience.
