Horrible experience. Stayed 2 days with a friend. On the afternoon of the 2nd day, my friend received news that his mother in law had a severe complication from a routine surgery and was likely going to pass away. We immediately drove to the hotel and explained the situation to the front desk that we had to checkout and drive the 4 hours to Detroit for the first available flight (she later passed away). The front desk clerk called the manager of the hotel who refused to cancel the stay and informed us that we would be charged. This was less than an hour after the normal check-in time. I literally stood there in disbelief. Never in my 45 years on this earth have I had a worse customer experience. The total lack of compassion or even a shred of care from both the front desk and the manager was jaw dropping.

Rooms were nice. Water pressure was not good at all... Hallways, lobby and elevator were super dirty. One elevetor was broken, hot tub was closed. Kind of a let down for a Hampton. I use Hilton all the time as a Gold Honors member and this is the first one I would not come back to.

I'm giving this place 5 stars because of the people that work there! Everyone there was friendly, helpful and showed care and concern. From the front desk folks, to the breakfast team, to the late night crew. Just fantastic folks. Hilton did well in the hiring of the staff at this hotel. My only caveat, is I'd like to see a larger fitness room with some weights instead of just cardio equipment. I'd stay here again.

It was a nice hotel. The rooms were small but nice. Can tell it is a newer Hampton. The only reason why it isn’t 5/5 is there are no cameras in the parking lot. Someone hit my car. Other than that it’s a nice place.

It has been updated and I always use Hamptons whenever I can. The street is very busy at certain times of the day, but one can work around that. Not sure about beach access.
The closest place that sells liquor is Toms food market. It’s less than a mile away, towards downtown
We stayed there the first week in May had no problem.
The hallway carpets are stained with terribly, but it's currently under major remodel, and in the process of being replaced.
Its across the street. Takes maybe a few minutes to walk over deoending on traffic and if you go to the crosswalk.
