They are truly caring and helpful.

Turned away from surrendering a cat with severe behavioral issues as they were full to capacity. I was informed that a reservation 6 weeks in advance was required. One must ask if they are living up to their mission statement.
Gwendolyn Perry
They were helpful, friendly and patient with me and my pet.
Kory Lamp
Awesome staff they take good care of your pets. Much more affordable then a private vet.

Is Tucker a cat? Asking because I adopted a handsome man named Tucker hope this helps
Yes it is.
I have left messages on both sides the vet and the other side saying i been callin n no answer and no return calls either
Yes humane society will take him for free
I believe they can use donated blankets for certain animals. But your best bet is just to call and ask?
Awww Congrats Aidan, do you know if they are planning on bringing anymore any time soon? Also, how much did it cost so that I know to save up more money
Adoption fees depend on the age of the dog. For more information, please see our website at https://humanepa.org/adoption/
Our shelter is currently undergoing renovations. We are hoping to open with our new building this summer! If you are interested in adopting a new companion, please visit our sister shelter, the Humane League of Lancaster County at www.humanepa.org and you can view aour current adoptable animals.
For more information about surrendering pets, please give us a call at 610- 921-2348.
Well I was planning on trying to apply for waiting list for spading my female labrador retriever, but no one has gotten back to me either!!! So what else do we do go down there in person???
There is no fee for dropping off an animal if you live in berks county. If you live outside of berks county it is a $50.00 fee per animal. I hope this helps
I don't think they pick up anymore but if you drop them off it takes less then 10 minutes
Ask on-line there are a couple of organizations that will help with vet bills.
No unfortunately we do not see birds here, Exeter vet hospital in perkiomen ave and larkin vet hospital and also friends animal in wyomissing. They see birds. Hope this helps.
You cab try tye humane society on 1801 north 11th Street
Not at the moment but you can check the website they frequently update it.
Was there on Saturday and they had an older small dog available for adoption.
Most shelters screen the people who are going to adopt them at least reputable ones Berks county humane society, the freedom center do a search and you'll find many reputable places.
Thank u I will let my daughter know
Sometimes they have free adoption weekends on 5/11 they will have a free adoption day Sometimes if it's an older animal or has been there for months it can be a free adoption
I'm sorry you have to rehome your dog did you call the freedom center they will be open tomorrow good luck with everything
Sorry Christina I wasn't going to the center back in 2015 I hope you find out
They have different prices for kittens or older cats some senior cats are sometimes free to a good home they all are spayed or neutered all are microchip all have their shots and you get a discount coupon for your next vet visit I've seen price range from 25-125
Many different answers you could call the shelter but could be a medical problem or another cat could be the problem or the cat don't like the litter that's in the box or the box is too small for the cat
If you would want to bring him here maybe he has a microchip aww sounds like a beautiful cat😻
You could call human Society also If Not Post it on Facebook Somebody Will Contribute For You
Put it n All Laundromats and You Could Put N Messenger and It's So Free
$50 -100
You can go to the shelter in lancaster and probably see what dogs they have in otherwise I would just give them a call
Make an appointment at the Schumo humane vet clinic. You request a license on line at Berks county courthouse. He doesn't need a license until he is a year old..
This place is under construction right now only the vet is open.
Aida, we will be holding more free adoption events in 2020. Please keep an eye on our website and our social media accounts!
Humane society has a voicemail that they check about every hour or two. And there is also animal rescue. If it's not a dog or cat you can call the game warrant for wild animals. Hope this helps if the animal is being extremely hurt. Call 911 but must be extreme danger.
Hi Shidina. You have to call Animal Rescue. They have like officer's that take care of those cases and they work fast. God Bless You.
Sorry, I am not able to read.
They did have a contract with the city police and animal rescue league. Also, berks country dog on Facebook is able to assist.
No. It's rare, but they will euthanize if an animal stays too long (several months, then they put them for free for a set amount of time) at the shelter with no signs of getting adopted or being taken by another rescue/shelter.
You can call the humane society and check on pricing for cremations if that is what you wish.
Yes
You'll have to go to the shelter and figure out what they can do - i don't think they look at this page. Legally, they can't tell you who adopted your girls, but maybe they can still help.
I don't work there. You will have to contact them directly.
For your information I speak 4 languages, ok? By which I speak the language that I want, I see that you are a rasista, but that is your problem, not mine, that is for you Frank
The don't do payment plans, you have to pay in full. But I know there are some medical plans for pets and they are cheap. My advice is to call them and ask about those or check on the web. I'm sorfy about your kittie mama, hope got better. God Bless You.
I am so sorry to hear that. Yes, it's certainly possible. Give them a call.
Sorry, I don't speak Spanish.
I suggest you call them.
I would try calling them first.
Yes
No i don't
The 23rd is the last day.
I think so
Yes... I suggest you call them first to find out if they do.
Yes, you can! Your friend should just keep in mind food, vet bills, and other necessities when budgeting for a pet. They have a very friendly staff if your friend has any other questions.
I remembered seen a husky names zoe but at the Lancaster spca.
Lisa breeders are not very well looked upon at the shelter. Too many people that go to a breeder for a dog want to make money. Or they just don't understand there is work involved to raise and care for any animal. When the dog is no longer of prime breeding the lucky ones get dropped of at a shelter or become homeless or worse. Sorry I see the dogs that are not a family pet. With lots of love and work they finally get to go to a furever home. I am finished and have no idea about any breeders.
I dont work there but I think its free or they ask for a donation or surrender fee of 25$ but im not sure.
I might call the Humane Society for suggestions since the boarding question comes up regularly.
Yes they do. I found a stray cat and took it to them a few months back. I did a donation for it though. It's up to you.
Go there and meet all the dogs in adoption if you see want that you like make some paperwork and is yours, some dogs cost money
Yes they would
There isn't much the humane society can do at that point. You can try calling the animal rescue league to see if they offer some type of disposal services. Otherwise say a prayer and dispose of the body 😢
They don't spay and neuter at HS. I would suggest going to No Nonsense Neutering instead, it's $75 for spay or neuter and $20 for microchip.
You can call them and find out. Not sure if they will. You can also try the animal rescue league
It's an optional donation, they should take her or consider the ARL
I believe all the time, you usually just have to pay for the spay/neuter
Not at the moment but the availability can range daily. Call to find out what animals they have or visit their website.
Not totally sure. Try calling the city hall or maybe the court house. They could 100% give you that information. Because it is a city ordinance you need specific answers.
Give them a call.
Yes and more to follow. All neutered, up to date with all vaccines. If you find the one for you a tracking chip is included so we have a much better chance of getting your kitty home to you. I am sorry I took so long to respond. Check out the website or Facebook page. Good luck 😆
Yes they do. Not sure of cost. Depends on what you need.
The Humane Society does not require home visits.
You can always check the website. You can get a pretty good idea of what they have by that. And most of the time they have 1 or 2 nice pits on hand.
They sometimes do. Call for a faster reply.
I do not understand
Not at the moment.
Not at the moment. But you can check the website it is frequently updated.
They definitely allow you to walk the dogs. Call them about opportunity and age. I guess 18 years old because of the liability but not sure call them. They also need donations like blankets and food.
It varies from time to time you can check the website.
Depends on type of cat or dog. About $75. +/- 30 Sometimes they are free.
I don’t know but you can call
They don't come and pick them up. They might take them if not filled up and not feral. You can get a trap and then take them to No nonsense neutering. Located in Temple. Then either find a home or release them. That way they don't reproduce to cause more feral cats.
Oooh, good question. I believe it is 14 years old. But you can always give them a call and see what happens? Hope this helps a little.
I'm looking to adapt a senior dog who gets along with 🐱
Yes they have a program where you can get free emergency pet food if you qualify. There really nice about it
No, they charge or ask for a donation you can probably use for tax deduction. This is a small fee because they have a veterinarian give a basic physical and REQUIRED vaccination (s) along with Neutered or Spayed procedure if needed. The costs if "fixing" the dog might be more. I'm not sure of the cost but believe it is $50 to about $100. Could be lower. Hope this explains why they charge. I did read at times they might have free adoptions. Probably if they get a pet from an owner that has taken care of the pet and they know the health history but please make a donation anyways.
Yes they will look for any cats that come in their facility that matches your description. They will not look for your cat.
Yes they do ,but price depends on the cat and what you need done
Well it depends on the animal, but you call and ask
@tina. ... i found a solid black cat last night. It was very cold outside and it looked really skinny. I have a cat of my own so I brought food outside and led the cat into my garage. The cat looks about 4 months old and it’s super friendly. I’m planning to take the cat to the humane society today and I’m hoping your still interesting On a solid black cat. I’m also hoping they will take him in too. 2/3/2018
Oh my yes there are a very good amount of little puppies that need adoption.Take a look because they constantly get new animals that need a loving home.
Is it only free adoption. For black cat or dogs to
