My electric bill doubled and they say that it's because of the natural gas price increase to the utility. I think we, the customers, are paying for the two CFOs who were indicted for fraud and bilking the company out of millions of dollars. Jea, itself, is the fraud. The City of Jacksonville is of no use to its citizens as it allows JEA to pass all of the costs on to the customers and we have no choice because our utilities will be shut off. It's important to remember that this is the city that charged its citizens for recycling when it wasn't a provided service for many months and the people had no choice but to pay... HOW DARE THEY???

JEA is scamming. Sure natural gas is at an “all time high” but no where else’s rates are THIS high. It is absolutely ridiculous for us to use LESS energy yet our bill has went up over $200. $480/month is insane. We even went out of town for 3 weeks, air conditioner OFF, everything unplugged & all lights off and our bill was $280?! FOR WHAT! Oh, & you’re welcome for taking the time to write a Google review about my bill increase. Stop scamming and you wouldn’t have such awful reviews.
