We arrived on Friday and checking out on Monday. We had no housekeeping. We asked for housekeeping and we were told they only provides every 3 days or by request. We have 2 small children and needed additional sheets and we were told they didn't have any as they were doing laundry. Also, only 1 washing machine was working out of 3 total. We were put on a waiting list for towels and clean sheets. I honestly never expected basic hospitality to be an issue for a Holiday Inn Express hotel. Therefore if you are looking for a hotel, please chose a different one. In addition the pool has been unavailable for 2 months. They are waiting on a part which they have no idea when it will arrive. Breakfast was ok.

The rooms are modern and clean and prices were good. Breakfast: can we talk about service? We went down at 9:40 and as we were getting breakfast the lady came out and literally took the bowl of oatmeal as my husband was getting it. Breakfast is listed until 10. I understand we were at the tail end, but, really? When I asked for cream cheese, the lady just shrugged. There also is a pool that is covered dirt at the bottom. Location is great, rooms are clean & modern… and that’s about it. It served its purpose for a one night pit stop but it wouldn’t be a place I would revisit by any means. Edited to add: my husband asked me to add that Charles at the front desk was wonderful.

Convenient location. You can tell the property is trying. The rooms seem to have been updated in the last year or two. The staff was friendly. Once the outdoor pool is finished it will be even nicer. There are a few minor details that could help. Ex. Rust ring around the shower drain, adhesive from the old conditioner and shampoo dispenser. Breakfast isn’t bad, but not quite as fresh or as many options as we have seen other places. Overall we would recommend.

Less than desirable, We as a couple stayed in one room while our family stayed in another, the front desk and breakfast staff was friendly and quick to accommodate. On the other hand the house keeping needs ALOT of work. We were woke up to repeated slamming of doors against the safety laches as house keeping check to see if rooms were empty showing they didn't have enough decency to wait the extra 2-3 secs to close it softly in order to not disturb sleeping guest... its vacation I want to sleep in when at all possible. Later that morning we had switched rooms to be on the same end of the hotel as our family and what a disaster... again the front desk was very understanding and made it happen We were greatful but, again the housekeeping was that of a common day hostile. We grabbed our belongings from our family's room and went to check into ours after being told it was ready. We walked in to a floor that had not been sweep, mopped, or vacuumed. Cobwebs in the corner floor dirt caked behind the trashcan and toilet, common surfaces that had not even been wiped down, and a bathtub that still had soap grime and hair from the day before we were taken back by the lack of cleanliness pandemic or not! We exited the room and had a conversation with the front desk staff again very polite and understanding, they informed us someone would come and fix it right away as we went to the shop across the way. When we returned (20 mins later) we were insured it was ready. We walked into our room to find NOTHING HAD CHANGED other than maybe a swifter to the bathroom floor. So, I called the front desk and asked that one of them come to our room to see what we did.A few minutes later her and who I assume to be the head of house keeping came and immediately understood and seen our concerns. They changed our room and made sure it was to clean standards before we moved our stuff in .... overall this management and hospitality staff was excellent the housekeeping staff needs to step up their game and take their job seriously the foyers and hallways obviously needs to be vacuumed and mopped from trash and spilt drinks or just plan walking evident everywhere. I'm not sure if I would be willing to stay at this particular hotel again atleast not without checking my room first. For $160/night.... I would definitely think more than Twice!
